WyattSheepMask Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 (edited) John Laurinaitis has been dropped as a defendant in the ongoing Janel Grant lawsuit. In a statement from her representatives, Laurinaitis has agreed to provide evidence as part of a “confidential settlement” Edited May 28, 2025 by WyattSheepMask Quote
Kfogg1991 Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 I've just seen this on twitter and I'm not sure how I feel about it after reading how involved and important he was during her abuse. The only thing I can think of is having him switch sides and giving evidence against Vince is more of a win for her than suing him aswell as Vince almost guarantees a conviction with the amount of stuff he must have damming him from over the years Quote
Paid Members Thunderplex Posted May 28, 2025 Paid Members Posted May 28, 2025 Everybody knows John Laurinaitis. He’s changed his ways, he’s a good man…… Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted May 28, 2025 Paid Members Posted May 28, 2025 It only just occurred to me that counter-programming AEW probably isn’t the only reason they’re bringing back the all-female, “Evolution,” pay per view. Call me a cynic, but I suspect a very high number of women from a very specific time period are going to be offered a spot on that show. For reasons. Quote

SaitoRyo Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 Ann Callis to Vince McMahon as she introduces star witness John Laurinaitis: I know Laurinaitis is, obviously, a snake in the grass, but they must have had something big on him to get him to make this deal and go against Vince. The McMahon and WWE camps also REALLY don't want this to go to the discovery phase and are pushing for arbitration, seemingly because they know they're fucked if it goes to trial. I hope it does and that Janel Grant gets her day in a court of law. Quote
Chili Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 Good. They must have some shit on him, get him to sing like a canary and then the WWE board can panic and have a night of the long knives. I really hope Janel Grant gets the world for this. Fuck them. Quote
Paid Members chokeout Posted May 28, 2025 Paid Members Posted May 28, 2025 Live footage of the Laurinitis negotiations But seriously, fuck them both. Quote

As such while it could lead to criminal charges (it won't, he's a rich white man in 2025 America) it's not in the table in this current legal action as I understand it. Or have I missed something? Snitsky's back acne Posted May 29, 2025 Posted May 29, 2025 My only concern is that anything he says can now be easily discredited as a man who is only saying the things he is because he has struck a deal with Janel Grants legal team to save his own arse. He is undoubtedly in it up to his neck and, metaphorically, knows where all the bodies are buried but a good legal team can easily pull apart anything he says now as not being credible. Also, I feel a little uneasy that someone who is supposed to have participated in the abuse of Janel Grant would be welcomed so readily by her and her team but that's the murky part of the legal process I suppose. TheScarlettChad Posted May 29, 2025 Posted May 29, 2025 Yeah, Vince isn't going to prison. No matter what people think. This is a civil trial. He'll pay her to go away. Quote
