Covid-19 Megathread

Had my second jab today. Went for the obligatory McDonalds afterwards but the drive in queue was backing out onto the actual road as people seem to be panicking that they’re going to run out of other stuff the same they have with Milkshakes. I’ll just get something else tomorrow on my day off.

Good to be fully 5G compliant though

Woke up this morning and felt like shite aches pains an a cough... Rang work which didn't go down well and went for a test. Just waiting for the results, pissed off as feel like I'm letting work down and the worst part is I've hardly been anywhere the past week apart from work and a few supermarkets! Saw so many people without masks in asda on Tuesday night. Cunts!

I worked with this guy.

He always was a bit of a nob, but I didn't expect him to start ranting about Epstein, paedos, QAnon, pizzagate, get banned from LinkedIn AND get himself deported from Singapore.

The key to life is to never, ever appear on page 1 of Google. For a recruiter, that's pretty short sighted and he's well and truly fucked his career hasn't he?

Currently holed up at home waiting on a PCR test to arrive. My second jab was booked for today so it's typical fantastic timing that I had a positive lateral flow yesterday.

It was kinda expected though, there's a huge spike in cases in Hereford around 16-30 and I'm working one of the busier bars 6 days a week coming into contact with people. I feel fine though, was just a bunged up head cold yesterday and me doing daily tests that proved positive. Feel absolutely fine today so maybe the first jab is doing its job.

My main concern is my mental health for 8 days of isolation and not seeing anyone. I was really loving the job and being able to get back out in the real world and feel okay, had just done my personal license and was starting to make friends again. Now I've got 8 days of staying in my box room as my family are still regularly in the house for childcare so I can't be around when my nephew's are in (despite both of them and my sister previously having it) or risk passing it to anyone else.

I usually try and escape the noise when they're here as the one is a handful and the loud shouting can set off an anxiety attack or sensory overload in me so this is quite difficult today.

Just need to find a hobby for this week to get through, maybe some scriptwriting or try and binge watch a few series I've yet to complete.

Sounds like a great opportunity to sink into some writing. Definitely make the most of the opportunity! :) what series have you got in mind to watch?

Truthfully I've never watched all of Friday Night Dinner so I feel I could plow through that. Everyone mentioning 15 Stories High has put it top of my list and then I kinda wanna see all of Boy Meets World through in one go again. First episode to last.

Started Black Books again recently as well so that is on the list. That should do me for 8 days.

Just won £200 on skybet casino too so hopefully I stay well away while I'm ahead.

Tested positive yesterday. Feel pretty shite but kind of glad I got it now as I'm getting married in 3 and a half weeks and was petrified I'd catch it the day before or something. Managed to dodge getting a bad cough thankfully, seems like the vaccine is fighting off the worst of it. Sweating buckets all day though.

I live in a busy area of London and have to get the train into the office most days so it felt like only a matter of time before it got me.

While I was off my manager (the same one who pushed for all our branches to stay open during lockdown) caught Covid and came in to my workplace and argued with my staff while not wearing a mask. They all had to isolate.

Spoke to him the other day and his defence was "not sure how I caught it, barely seen anyone (because he works from home)."

Never seen someone so desperate to look like a prick.

I went to slam dunk north festival on Saturday and came back and had a horrendous bad throat I thought it was laryngitis but yesterday I got up and felt the worst I've ever felt so did a test and I've tested positive.

I have honestly never felt this bad in my life. I've got a rash all over my body, I am struggling to breathe at times and I'm sweating like I've never sweat before I've just got up to go outside for a fag and my entire bottom sheet and my pillow case Is drenched in sweat.

My missus said that around day 5 is supposed to be the worst well today I'm on day 2 and I feel like I'm going to die
