  1. Oh yeah, because there wasn't enough Sealion Dion in the actual movie. The only thing that could make this unholy terror of a jukebox musical even slightly creative is if they set the flashback from the old lady up with It's All Coming Back To Me Now. Even then, Meatloaf did it better.
  2. Probably. I don't know how I made that confusion. Mark Curry wasn't bad when he presented it, but none of them were as good as Roy Walker.
  3. It was a great trip. Soundtracked by Horny Like A Dandy, and the German supergroup of DJ Otzi and the Hermes House Band's cover of Three Lions/Fussball's Coming Home which was being played everywhere there was a fan fest taking place. Another of the highlights was ignoring the England Vs Trinidad & Tobago match while drinking margarita slush puppies in Hanover, and being interview by German radio in Kaiserslautern who wondered why my three English friends and I were supporting Mexico, Uruguay, Togo, and Japan respectively.
  4. People will tune in to gawk at Flintoff's mangled features after his Top Gear accident. He's likeable enough, and I'm sure he can have a decent bit of banter with the contestants. Can't be any worse than when Dave Spikey presented it. Or Steve Penk presenting Catchphrase.
  5. At least Eddy Grant will be happy. Hell be rocking down to Electric Avenue to see his bank manager about those royalties.
  6. I don't know whether this counts, but my first foreign holiday was a road trip around Germany during the 2006 World Cup. We had a weekend in Berlin before we flew back, and when I actually set out into the city on my own I got such a rush of excitement. Likewise when we were watching the Italy USA game on the Saturday night on a massive screen which was hanging from the Brandenberg Gate the atmosphere was electric. @FLips going back to your Smash Brothers excitement, Maximillian Dood totally losing his mind at the Cloud reveal is something I'll watch if I need a quick hit of dopamine.
  7. Don't forget Tripper and Kevin Nash's Hell In A Cell as well.
  8. Dynamite Cop is worth a look, and don't forget the Powerstone games. Also Chuchu Rocket.
  9. Yeah. Tickets go on sale at 10am. They're about the same price as the France tickets from what I've seen, although if there's dynamic pricing invovled it'll be anybody's guess. I can't imagine there'll be that different a price between a few days in London for that, and a few days in Nantes, plus there's a Jules Verne museum.
  10. Cleverley by name, shit for brains by nature.
  11. Apparently Simon Nye is attached to write that Cheers remake. Hopefully it's not as bad as what Americans do to our sitcoms.
  12. I thought he was already dead. Martin Lee from off of out of The Brotherhood Of Man has passed away at the age of 77. BBC News - Brotherhood of Man singer Martin Lee dies aged 77 https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cglk1zwdzey o
  13. I started watching Ludwig on the iPlayer. It's an interesting premise, obviously written with David Mitchell in mind. Anyway, David Mitchell plays John "Ludwig" Turner. A reclusive crossword setter who gets a phone call from his sister-in-law, Lucy (Anna Maxwell Martin), and is summoned to Cambridge where it turns out his identical twin brother James, a police detective, has gone missing. John impersonates James to try and infiltrate the police station and get hold of a notebook to see whether they can find out where he is, and ends up having to investigate several cases. One of the reviews describes Mitchell as playing Mark from Peep Show in a detective show. It has some funny moments. There's some awkward romantic tension between Lucy and John, and the soundtrack is made up of the works of Beethoven, and some interesting synth type pieces which take inspiration from Beethoven. It's not bad. One of those Shakespeare and Hathaway type shows where you just stick it on for the hour and enjoy the ride. Also, Ralph Ineson is in it, and he's ace.
  14. There used to be something similar a while back called Rollitos? I remember picking them up in Asda a few years ago.
  15. My ex used to love the Canadian ham flavoured Seabrooks. They were alright. Aldi are getting stocked up on this year's Christmas flavours. For the Sunday crisp club I picked up a pack of camembert, honey and chilli flavour. Last year they had a wagyu beef dripping cooked roast potato flavour, which was diabolical and still spoken of to this day.
