Knowing it's close to me being here 18 years and being 33 now, it's over half my life on this forum. Pretty much was on this forum as soon as I had Internet at home (we were late to the game) but finally signed up just shy of my 16th Birthday. Looking back I reckon these days if I told a parent or teacher I was a 15 year old chatting to a bunch of adults in a wrestling chat room I'd have been a safeguarding issue. Yeah by all accounts, knowing he's been in 4 top academy systems in 6 years or so does make it feel like he's getting some awful advice. TMZ being the scourge of the earth it is has audio of the 911 call. It looks like Andy hit his head on the ring post during or towards the end of the match and that's what's caused his collapse and potential arrest. Just horrific and another reason to just take every day at its full level and embrace every moment. Still honestly so cut up about this. It's hard to put into words sometimes what someone you've never actually met means, but when I think of music, of wrestling and overall of humans and the stories I've read today, Andy was one of those who really deserved the world for what he gave.

I'm absolutely gutted by this, around 2018 I really got into Every Time I Die so it was such a lovely surprise when The Butcher turned up in AEW at its creation. He just seemed such a lovely bloke who seemed to be having such a great time being involved in two of his loves. I did have a sad feeling about it this morning when no further report was made after he collapsed and that no news over time seemed like it would end up being a tragic outcome. He was such a great look and a big brutish badass and I do wish he had done more in wrestling but hopefully he got as much enjoyment out of it as he wanted. It's a real shock and an absolute shame. I am gutted about this.

I grew up watching the Wrestling Channel and as a teen had a bit of a soft spot for all the Memphis stuff I could find anywhere. Dundee was magnificent and a real talent.

Reading some really upsetting news that The Butcher was wrestling on an indie event last night alongside The Blade and collapsed during the match, and that both CPR and a defib was used before he was transfered to hospital and the remainder of the event was cancelled. As someone who loves him both as a wrestler and a musician, I really hope he turns out to be okay.
