She did an interview a few months ago where she poured her heart out about her life and expectations that is just all the sadder for this news. The whole thing feels like when Brittany Murphy died, a supremely talented young woman chewed up and spat out by an abusive and misogynist system. Screaming Mad George has died as well. If you're a horror film fan then there's a 100% chance you'll have encountered and been amazed by his effects and makeup work, especially in Brian Yuzna's films. His work on Society is still some of the greatest horror effects work of all time and almost nothing has touched it since. Quote

A wonderful person too, by all accounts. Where do you even start? The woman wrote Jolene and I Will Always Love You in the same fucking day. Most songwriters wish they could write one song as good as either as those, and she churned them out in the same day. Are you kidding me? Not even counting the many, many other incredible songs she wrote. Always loved watching/listening to/reading interviews with her. She was so warm, smart and funny. A really feisty and independent woman who refused to play the game, too. Love everything she did for charity and how much she did with her programme giving free books to millions of young kids.
