Ah, man. Fuck this week.

The poor guy has had an absolutely terrible time, but he always had a sense of humour and showed an upbeat manner in spite of it. It goes without saying he's one of the greats as well. Whilst Frankenfurter is undoubtedly an iconic role, he's played so many superb others, it's difficult to truly nail down one as THE definitive role.

RIP.

I LOVE Tim Curry. First finding him in Home Alone 2, but obviously has brilliant back catalogue of roles from Muppet Treasure Island to Rocky Horror and IT, but my favourite is probably Clue. Regardless, great talent.

Above is his rendition of the Ballad of Davy Crockett, which became a running gag on my Disney Podcast because of how great it is. Him and Dolly in 24 hours is gutting.

Is anyone else 80 this year? We need to wrap them in cotton wool now. What a loss, an absolute force in British acting.

Fucks sake. Phenomenal body of work, a true icon but the only consolation is at least he’s found the other place that hasn’t been corrupted by capitalism.

Ah that’s sad, Tim Curry was the best. I will not hear that the new Pennywise is better than his. Bloody terrifying.

As @Retro Redalluded to, it’s funny that Red Alert 3 is still the first place my mind goes. I consider that a tribute to just how hard he threw himself into a role, the more ridiculous the better:

No. Not Tim Curry as well. He was amazing in the cutscenes in Command & Conquer 3. For all his amazing roles, the one thing of his I enjoy the most is his "space!" after that little moment where his face says "I can't believe I'm going to say this" and that hesitant pause, although he looks like he's a second from breaking down laughing and screaming "what is this shit?" pretty much the whole way through, which is probably what makes his performance in it so much fun.

For fucks sake!

Obviously like any sane person, absolutely love Tim Curry. It's a minor role of his but in Home Alone 2 as the concierge, his delivery of 'I... Love you" as they're all tricked by Angels with Dirty Faces always proper pops me. Born in my town too, a Warrington lad of all things. What a brilliant actor and when he wanted to be, an absolute ham. Amazing at both, lifted everything he was in.

My daughter knew him best as the dad in the Wild Thornburys.  We watched that so often together that the tape broke and I had to track It down on dvd.  It’s been a sad couple of days.
