Dean Koontz is bloody awful! I read a lot of Dean Koontz when I was younger, just looking to read any old horror shit I could find. Dragon Tears could be the worst book I've ever read. One of those where you reach a certain point and think "God this is fucking shit, but I might as well finish it." See also - Dark Rivers of the Heart. Quote

Paid Members Weezenal Posted August 27 Paid Members Posted August 27 Richard O’Brian’s son made a documentary on Rocky Horror called Strange Journey. I watched last night and really enjoyed it, had interviews with most of the remaining cast. Quote

westlondonmist Posted August 27 Posted August 27 I'm a big Tim Curry fan, he's great in everything, even things that aren't great. Clue, it's a solid enough movie but Curry is absolutely brilliant in it and is what makes it a must see film, Home Alone 2 is a bit wank but Curry is still brilliant in it despite having to share most of his scenes with Rob Schneider. He had this amazing ability to play a very charming villain. He had been really unwell for a long time, so his death doesn't sadden me, was probably for the best. Rocky Horror is great, not just because of him although he is fantastic in it, but it has several songs that you instantly remember and you do after the first time you see it. I was a teenager when I saw it but couldn't really open up about it at school because it wasn't cool. After seeing it I couldn't get songs like Science Fiction/Double Feature, Hot Patootie, T-T-T-Touch Me and Sweet Transvestite out of my head. Love it though and can't wait for my Hanwell Town Rocky Horror shirt (if you want one order by Monday). Quote

Damn. Fuck's sake. In terms of 6-year-old me, his voice as Optimus Prime was up there with my dad and Jesus in terms of figuring out morality. 85 is some good innings, but that's really sad news. davertfnewman Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Peter Cullen's the voice of a generation in some ways. A workmate asked me out of a related conversation who my favourite superhero was and I said Optimus Prime. He started to argue that Prime wasn't really a superhero but took that back when he couldn't argue why he wasn't. Sad to see Peter gone. Quote
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted August 27 Paid Members Posted August 27 (edited) Somebody check on Frank Welker. Bloody hell. Not Peter Cullen. He was so many characters to so many kids. What a shit week. Edited August 27 by Jazzy G Quote
