We were very very lucky and had fixed for 5 years on 1.1%. I've overpaid a little bit too as the rate was so low. The best rate we have been offered now for a 2 year fix is 4.83%. We initially got a quote on Friday at 4.63% but that was pulled this morning before we could apply and the mortgage broker said the 4.83% is looking to be pulled this afternoon as everyone is putting their rates up. Hoping we've managed to secure the 4.83% as I'm not sure how much more we can stretch to.
