I hate when people make revisionist versions of peoples lives when they die. If he was hateful in life, people are going to hate him in death. Otherwise you can spend your whole life being an arse hole and then when you die all is forgiven?! Absolute bullshit

I have never heard of him previously but it is horrific watching someone being shot and killed clearly and all angles really shocked me which isn't something I have constantly. He wasn't a saint and stood for shitty beliefs and policies but didn't deserve that

Hell of a shot. 200 metres away, single shot straight to the jugular. As far as political assassinations go 10/10 for technique and delivery but could have gone for a better target. Kirk was a huge and awful piece of shit but relatively small fry in the grand scheme of things.

Well. This has caused me some pretty shit feelings.

Not that the world has lost a dickhead, but someone put the video of him being shot on Facebook. I saw it by accident and froze (it was about a 2 second clip, I saw it three times). Ended up having nightmares.

I'm trying to avoid all social media for the same reason. I find it very strange people would seek to watch the video too.

I'd also never heard of Charlie Kirk until he had his neck blown clean off. I try to remain ignorant of such people (just better for peace of mind innit), but it only took reading up on him and his beliefs for ten minutes to realise that he was not a very nice man (to put it mildly). 

I also didn't want to open Twitter and see four different angles of someone being shot to death, but that's how things are on Elon's delightful app these days, I suppose. 

And, of course, nobody should be expected to manufacture sympathy for someone who made their reputation and living through, essentially, hate speech.

Adding fuel to the fire when it comes to Trump not being in good shape lately too, is the weird AI video the white house released because they clearly don’t want him on camera. Either that or he cares so little about one of his biggest assets dying he couldn’t be arsed enough to do a real video. Either way it’s odd.
