The conspiracy whackjobs are having a field day with this. Today of all days when they’d usually be recycling the old 9/11 stuff, they seem buzzing to have new material to sink their teeth into. Idiots going “but why did his shirt ripple like that?” Maybe because a bullet just danced its way through his neck?

I was also blissfully unaware of him other than occasionally seeing his massive head with a tiny face in the odd tweet here and there. Not gonna ‘celebrate’ anyone getting shot to death but from what I’ve read about him he was a horrible hate spreading cretin. Not a great loss to the human race.

Funny how this happened after the David Coote stuff came out. Makes you think, what sort of connection does he have with Trump and Epstein?IMG_0036.thumb.jpeg.c81c3217b5e54728837fac9a95d1d6bb.jpeg

Horrible for anybody to die like that and i can’t imagine the trauma for his family to see that also.

<Tin Hat>
Trump will be rubbing his hands together. Lets all focus on the looney left crazy people who shot the nice man and let’s not talk about Jeffrey Epstein for a while.

I have no real strong feelings for Charlie Kirk himself, other than a general 'no one deserves to die like that' reaction to gun violence.

That said, it is an awful tragedy as he has two young children who will wear the weight of his death for their entire lives and they're completely free of guilt or complicity with any of his wrongdoings. He was just their dad, and they had to watch him murdered in a horrible fashion. I don't care who it is, that's just really sad.

If we're going tin hat though (we shouldn't, it was almost certainly done by a mentally unstable young student), this really does help JD Vance and his tech bro oligarch backers like Peter Thiel. Charlie Kirk was building a reputation as the most popular young conservative in America, and was going to be 'of age' in time for the next election. So whilst they obviously weren't involved in any way, they do benefit.

Don't think you'll find many people not agreeing it's sad for his children.

I hope at some point you come to the realisation what a problematic supposition this is to make. It's the same sort of thinking swirling around the minds and Twitters of some of the worst people in the world.

A shot straight to the jugular from a rooftop 200 yards away and escaping immediately is the work of Agent 47 not a student.

It’s scary that the video of Trump is AI. Honesty I think that’s the first time I’ve not realised a video is fake

If it's a student who's shot someone, it shouldn't be problematic to say they had mental health issues.

My main issue there is presuming they are young, which I should apologise for. It could easily have been a mentally unstable older person.

But if you shoot someone from 200 yards at a speaking event, you're mentally unstable. That shouldn't be controversial.

Assuming anything about any crime is what leads to miscarriages of justice and innocent people getting hounded by mobs on social media and in the street. You've fallen into that trap there Dazzler, best put the spade away. All we know is that he was shot.

It's possible to think he was a cunt and still feel bad for his kids and still feel bad about the situation as a whole.

It's also possible to think fuck him he got what was coming, despite how horrible it was.

It's also possible that whoever shot him is mentally unstable or just a cunt or maybe even both.

These things are always complex with a bazillion different angles you can take. There's no right/wrong.

The main thing that winds me up is the quick assumptions some people make about the perpetrators and assuming they must have mental health issues. I understand that it's probably more of a "well what sane person would ever do that?" view rather than blaming the mental health issues, but because of the way it's talked about it becomes the reason, when realistically you've got a ton of people out there with mental health issues who don't shoot people in the neck. It's just a delicate line that people need to tread in order to stop reframing the situation incorrectly and in a harmful manner.

If now is not the time for people who want to resist fascism in the USA to be taking up arms, then when will that be? Do you think it's reasonable for people to continue to only try to use the existing legal framework to affect change?

It might be possible to fix, but I am not in the position to be judge those that have decided more drastic measures are required.
