For a taping as well, that’s the first time in years for MSG isn’t it? Can’t actually remember the last TV/PPV that emanated from there

They did Raw and Smackdown from there a couple of years ago. Remember checking it out to see if it looked like MSG. It didn't.

Don’t remember that at all. Just had a quick google, and outside of the TV you mentioned (September 2019) the last time they held a PPV there was Survivor Series 2011

Bucks vs Penta and Kingston on this weeks Wednesday Dynamite. If they win, they get a future tag title shot. That’s got to be heading for the MSG show surely?

Maybe when mox is back to partner him, for now it’s time killing with the next ppv end of august

Isn't it supposed to be ridiculously more expensive to get the rights to film in there compared to other arenas? I think that's why they regularly do house shows there but rarely do PPV/TV.

AEW arn’t running MSG, that’s WWE trying to disrupt AEW’s date at Arthur Ashe.

That’s what I recall reading something about, hence why was surprised it for a taping and wasn’t aware of the 2019 takings that @tiger_rick mentioned

So we've got a world title match tonight? Has there been a late "road to.." video or anything to make it seem like there's been any kind of real build to it?

A sub-wwe goofy backstage assault on the go home show is just bad and feels so beneath both guys.

The build hasn't really been Jungle Boy vs Kenny Omega - the build has been Jungle Boy's career and growth in AEW. This is happening because he won the Casino Battle Royale, and it hasn't seemed to be designed to be seen as a legitimate title change chance, but more about Jungle Boy proving that he's earned his popularity in the covid era and stepping up a notch.

It's not been a great build, but it was also set up two weeks or so ago - it's not really the culmination of any kind of feud.

As always, it’s unbelievable they chose to hide something like this on YouTube in favour of that crappy backstage angle they aired on TV last week. The whole package is great but specifically that footage of the Double or Nothing crowd’s reaction to him is absolutely priceless.

Gallows and Anderson winning in a main event. It's not long ago that both of these shit birds signed $750,000 p.a contracts with WWE. That's roughly what Kevin Nash got year one from WCW. I know money is different these days, but think about that for a second.

If the pair of them were having a brawl in my kitchen, I'd ask them to keep the noise down as I'm off to bed.
