I never said they weren't tasty. I just don't trust the places.

But this is every chippy along about 80 miles of North Wales coast with the exception of the cardboard boxes they’ve started doing to make the £6 they charge for a small fish and chips seem more reasonable. Awards Moderator Frankie Crisp Posted November 6, 2020 Awards Moderator Share Posted November 6, 2020 Not had a Byrne’s chippy in ages as it’s only open on weekdays and the queue outside is usually twenty deep, but I really fancied one tonight. 50 minutes in the freezing cold was worth it. Best chippy in Liverpool.

Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted November 19, 2020 Author Awards Moderator Share Posted November 19, 2020 (edited) Found on Reddit posted by an American under the heading "fish and chips". It's spoilered because it's going to trigger the fuck out of everyone. Spoiler  I think the redditor was joking, but I'm not completely convinced.   Edited November 19, 2020 by Onyx2

Moderators neil Posted November 19, 2020 Moderators Share Posted November 19, 2020 I have had "fish & chips" in the US where it did come with crisps. So it can happen.

Paid Members air_raid Posted November 19, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted November 19, 2020 As a nation, surely we haven’t forgiven them for the Boston Tea Party? Fish n crisps is a drop (of tea) in the ocean in comparison.
Moderators neil Posted November 19, 2020 Moderators Share Posted November 19, 2020 Speaking of the US, not my photo, but this is probably the best fish and chips I've ever had in the country. At a pretty good irish pub in town: Definitely on the poncy side, inferior to most chippies, but superior to most versions which are more like fishfingers on top of McDonalds french fries. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted November 19, 2020 Moderators Share Posted November 19, 2020 Obviously not the right kind of chips for fish & chips, but the fish looks pretty great tbh.
