Darkside of the Ring season 3 discussion

Haven't bothered with any of the WWE ones really but went wuth FMW, XPW, Johnny K-9 and Luna last night. FMW was a good enough job for a 40 odd minute show. Highly, highly recommend BAHU's podcast on the promotions full history if you enjoyed it. Onita was coming across as an alright guy until they got to the clip with him lighting up a snout when talking about Arai. Kind of like when the skull gets superimposed over yer man at the end of Psycho, just a clear and horrible look at someone saying without saying directly they they know some people and have done some bad things. Great seeing Ricky Fuji too.

Luna and the K-9 one were good. Luna's son working out as completely normal and Gangrel being a really good bloke were good to see. K-9 I knew fuck all about, had heard both his names previous but otherwise sod all. XPW was probably my favourite of the series. Just awful, awful people doing stupid inexplicable things illegally and badly.

The son Van Hurd was on one of the early seasons of the US version of Gordon Ramsays Hells Kitchen . Where he was one of the most popular contestants they ever had. He didn't win but he went really far on the two seasons he was on and is a very talented chef. He had his mothers wild charisma too, he really stood out.

He never mentioned his mother or his link to wrestling on the show. I only found out he was her son years later. Watching this was sad as she was always on the road and he barely saw her through out his life growing up and it was brutal at the end that she couldn't face seeing her grand daughter because of the drugs.

What’s the deal with Doink The Clown? Is there some dark and seedy carny stuff he was involved in or something?

We'll finally get to hear about the closed door experiments that led to the creation of multiple Doinks, as well as Dink and co.

Matt Borne's life will probably be the arc of it. Young prospect, silly gimmicks, drug addiction, fights, getting fired, indie run as Borne Again and death
