Paid Members Boycie Posted March 25, 2021 Paid Members Posted March 25, 2021 Very sad news. I was only watching Oz again the other day. I always quite liked him in it, especially in season 2. RIP.
Paid Members gmoney Posted March 25, 2021 Paid Members Posted March 25, 2021 Fucking gutted. She's brilliant in absolutely everything.
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted March 25, 2021 Paid Members Posted March 25, 2021 Ah man. What a talent. Incredible and terrifying in Play Misty For Me and easily the funniest performer in a cast of all time funniest performances in Arrested Development years later.

I’m not sure what clicked but it must have been on my third watch or something before I realised that she was the highlight of AD. Obviously the writing played a big part but her delivery and expressions just absolutely nailed every scene. Even more impressive when you read about the shit she put up with from Jeffrey Tambor. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted March 25, 2021 Moderators Posted March 25, 2021 Only really know her from Arrested Development and Archer but she was brilliant in both, and a real stand out in both shows which feature a very strong ensemble cast.

Seeing Misty for the first time years after I'd watched Arrested Development was quite the strange experience.
Factotum Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 (edited) You realise when you go back and watch Arrested Development how she is the best thing in that show and the main glue for it all. Absolutely all those characters are defined by their relationship with her Edited March 26, 2021 by Factotum
Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted April 6, 2021 Paid Members Posted April 6, 2021 Just been announced that Paul Ritter who played Dad/Martin in Friday Night Dinner has passed away from a brain tumour aged 54. Absolutely gutted on this, he's been one of my favourite actors on TV in recent years in that show.
The British Bushwacker Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 That’s a shitter, he was brilliant in both Chernobyl and No Offence too
Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted April 6, 2021 Paid Members Posted April 6, 2021 Shit on it indeed. Absolutely horrible news. He was also great in Chernobyl as well.

I must admit I only recently watched FND because I didn't think I would like it - fuck knows why - but it's a lovely show and I really enjoyed it. I wasn't too fussed about it coming back as I did think they left it well but was looking forward to the reunion stuff anyway. He was such a versatile actor that I honestly didn't realise it was him in some of the other roles I've seen mentioned.

Binged the whole series over a couple of weeks.
Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted April 6, 2021 Paid Members Posted April 6, 2021 Completely forgot he was in Chernobyl, loved how well presented that entire series was. One of the quizzes I do regularly has done huge 1000 team Friday Night Dinner quizzes purely from the success of the show and how popular it was. Hope they do another one and fundraise for a cancer charity with it.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted April 6, 2021 Paid Members Posted April 6, 2021 Oh man, I love him in FND. Steals pretty much every episode, such a brilliant performance. That's no age either. RIP
