Creed III turned up on Prime (makes sense with Amazon owning MGM or whatever studio it is now). Imagine my surprise when Todd Grisham turned up doing commentary at the beginning and the end, and Mauro Ranallo turns up halfway through. It was fine. Felt a bit Rocky V. I don't think they need to do any more now u less Rocky's lad's going to step up in the 4th one and bring it all full circle.

Yea most American boxing PPVs nowadays have Mauro or Todd on commentary.

Does Mauro still shout "MAMMA MIA!!!"?

At least once per show guaranteed, as well as someone being described as “en fuego”

He blocked me on Twitter after I said he didn’t know the difference between a shadow and a silhouette when Lars Sullivan was in NXT.

He did in the movie, that's how I realised it was him. Gutted they didn't have them both calling the end fight.

He’s so bad in it even for Nic Cage standards!

My wife hadn’t seen it before and outright laughed out loud at some of his lines when they were meant to be serious. I’ve seen it maybe once before and only remembered John Malkovich being really good in it, which still stands.

It feels like every important moment they went “right that’s good now let’s slow it down and add a shite guitar riff”.

I stand by it. Great action, an exciting cast, and a fun plot but Nic Cage is rubbish in it and the music is junk.

Edit: Actually you know who would have been way better in it? Bruce Willis. It’s essentially Die Hard on a plane anyway.

What part of Con Air is meant to be serious??

It's a 90s action camp classic. Everyone in it is typecast to fuck and having a ball chewing every line because the scenery is getting blown up or shot to pieces.

Serious was probably the wrong word. Emotional is maybe a better one. Any time a moment is meant to be poignant, or when he interacts with his wife and daughter.

Oh stewardess, in case anyone needs this clarifying, the version of "How Do I Live?" in Con Air is by Trisha Yearwood, not the LeAnn Rimes version that was a big chart hit over here.  Neither version is on the Con Air soundtrack album.  Trisha Yearwood's version was on her compilation album "Songbook: A Collection of Hits."

I know my Mum agrees with 'Lips. When we rented this when it was out, she tapped out half way through citing Cage's "stupid bloody accent". I loved it then, as I do now. John Cusack is the weak link in it, if you ask me.
