The Matt Riddle accuser posted this photo in a tweet, claimed it was from a year ago then she got called out for using an app to fake a text, she then deleted the tweet, cropped the photo and reposted it.

What's your source for this? And don't start crying about bullying, you've made the accusation so back it up.

Fucking Progress are having a nightmare today. They’ve “suspended” Jordan Devlin, Travis Banks and Scotty Davis, despite earlier today claiming that no-one is contracted to them and everyone is freelance. And “suspending indefinitely” in a period of time where you’re not running any shows equates to them doing the square root of fuck all

Blimey.

A couple of thoughts, probably not original ones.  Firstly, the only surprising thing here is that this has started in the UK wrestling scene and not the US.  During the height of the #metoo movement it was commented on here how surprising it was that the (as we all know) hugely sleazy US wrestling scene didn't get exposed.  Perhaps now, finally it will.

A second thought is that all of this, to find a positive, shows how far we've progressed in the last half century or more.  Someone earlier said that there's something inherently wrong with men in their 30s and 40s making sexual advances on teenage girls - and quite right.  Go back to the 40s, 50s, and that's the plot of many Hollywood romantic comedies - the eligible middle-aged bachelor Clarke Gable wooing and winning the debutant Vivien Leigh or whatever.  As the dynamic between the sexes has balanced, it's become less normalised for men in positions of authority to use that to "seduce" much younger women.

The US indies is a weird one, I almost wonder if geographically, the UK being so much more compact with the same circle of people encountering the same sorts makes the pattern of behaviour more noticeable and easier to flag. Not to be depressing, but for every story flagging somebody who genuinely has the ability to do this, there are going to be women that have been victimised who will never say a word.

US indies have their stories, but I don't know how much traction it gets because they get reported in a disparate fashion. There was a story late last year where a British wrestler living in Florida was accused of all sorts of shit, including physically assaulting his live-in girlfriend, and it wasn't even a story that got much traction online.

Look at this lot from the Exposed account.

"These names we have received, on more than one occasion. From men/women wrestlers, indie wrestlers, PROFESSIONAL wrestlers, refs, fans, coaches, camera men, merch people! "

I love how Vince McMahon is on there.

The ExposeWrestling twitter profile is now gone

Throw a grenade, no context, just a list. And run away. Seems they know they f’ed up as that’s not doing #speakingout any service or credibility. And in fact damages the real abuse stories by chucking in names associated with mental health and bad behaviour.

They threw that last grenade and fucked off. All sorts of speculation depending on various agendas (hacked, suspended, legal threats, liars).

I imagine because it’s now getting dealt with by various police forces, so screenshots and whatnot floating around social media won’t help active cases.

Which is all a good thing. If this has set the wheels in motion for people to be brought to justice and victims to get some form of closure, then that’s great.
