Finally got my second Jab today. Was supposed to be back in September but a mixture of contracting covid myself and then the fun Autism anxiety showcase that goes on any time I think about a needle that isn't a tattoo going near my body has had me putting it off for months, I feel like I was being selfish in doing that but I had to make sure I wasn't going to have a complete meltdown. That and having to travel for like 3 hours combined to go get it done when I don't really work well on public transport.

But it's done. I feel better for it and bar the sure fire anxiety attack I'm gonna have in an hour, it's worth it to know I'm extra covered.

I can definitely relate to that so yeah, well done. Honestly, I don't think I can overestimate the crippling anxiety intravenous treatments in a medical context give me. I've had to explain to loads of people too over the years how no, I don't mind tattoos. The tattoo needle's completely different.

I'm a modern medicine man through and through but the thought of it being administered by needle absolutely terrifies me. Walking to the vaccination centre for my first shot back in summer was the most intense psychedelic experience I've ever had, I think. Second one was easier, though. And I have no problem now with the third one. So a decent bit of exposure treatment for the phobia as part of the package!

Couldn't book my booster yesterday (I'm 38) but website accepted the booking today so looks like it's updating.

Booked mine today, apparently it's officially going to 30+ tomorrow/Monday, but you can already book now even though the website still says you have to be 40+.

Did think they were just a bit slow on updating.

Also a lot of confusion still on the referral letter wording so hopefully they sort that out too!

Managed to book my booster just now (I'm 36). I got my first dose in February and second in May because I'm asthmatic. Then they changed the criteria, so because I haven't been hospitalised or had to take a course of steroids in the last 24 months, I've had to wait seven months between jabs. My daughter started nursery during that time and has had one cold after another, so it's a real relief to get my booster booked.
