It does. Thanks! EDIT: Ah, he's Hughie from The Boys! Didn't realise he was Ryan and Quaid's kid. Looks a lot like his mum too - like a cosmic "fuck you" to Dennis. EDIT2: FUCK'S SAKE - he's only Brad Boimler from Lower Decks! Why didn't I recognise him, especially seeing as he appeared in live action in Strange New Worlds in one of the greatest Trek episodes ever? Edited November 22, 2024 by Carbomb Quote
Merzbow Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Jack's a good lad, big mainstream actor yet just fucks around with Red Letter Media like he's one of the guys. Quote
Paid Members Dead Mike Posted November 22, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 22, 2024 The ACDC song 'Thunderstruck' came out in 1990. I always thought it was much older than that given the 'classic rock' label. Quote

Moderators neil Posted November 22, 2024 Moderators Posted November 22, 2024 It wasn't today that I learned this...but I was FAR too old to suddenly realise that chunky peanut butter is made by adding in chunks of peanuts to smooth peanut butter rather than it being ground in such a way that leaves it "chunky". What a plonker eh Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted November 22, 2024 Members Posted November 22, 2024 Never Too Much was Luther Vandross debut single. Imagine coming out the blocks with something this good. Quote
Paid Members gmoney Posted November 22, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 22, 2024 (edited) Talented man, but quite difficult apparently. I always enjoy the story of him touring with En Vogue as his support. En Vogue apparently referred to him as Lucifer Vandross as he was such an arsehole. He banned them wearing certain colour sequins and got so annoyed with them going onstage via a route that passed his dressing room that he called the police. Edited November 22, 2024 by gmoney Quote
davertfnewman Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Cheesy, but I liked Bob Mills' routine on him on an episode of In Bed With Medinner, which went along the lines of "I've had it up to here with Luther, because he's fat and unhappy again. First he was fat and happy, then he was fat and unhappy, then he was thin and happy, then he was thin and unhappy, and now he's fat and unhappy again - I can't keep up!". Easy joke, but very believable. Quote

Paid Members JLM Posted November 24, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 24, 2024 He will always be "Luther and The Dross" in our family. Not because we dislike him, but because my great grandma said it one time when asking my mum about "that (racial slur) singer you used to listen to". I love the idea that he was such a prima donna he'd refer to session musicians/backing vocalists/anyone else on stage as "The Dross". Quote
