He did offer up some excuse for his behaviour if true, casts his actions in a slightly different light. I'm not sure I buy it and I'll leave it up to others to decide how to feel for themselves.
On to a death that everyone will agree is sad (I hope). Sitcom star of the 70s & 80s Richard O'Sullivan has died. Man About the Hose & Robin's Nest was before my time but found Me and my Girl to be funny and rather sweet. And it had Tim Brooke-Taylor in it.
His run as Dick Turpin was also appealing to 8 year old me.
