I always interpreted it as Dana (possibly the one from Blakes 7) giving him (whoever he is) the runes.

I feel like on here 90% of you will be going "how did he not know that" but a YouTube video on the Big Breakfast just taught me that Johnnie Vaughn had been in prison before his media career for dealing cocaine and he and Denise Van Outen had huge backstage issues on The Big Breakfast.

 

He sounds like a total twat tbh the more I looked. I'm quite happy his career peaked then and he has been doing radio ever since.

He used to be on 606 with Robbie Savage and I had to stop listening because he was awful on it. He's on that Radio X now, isn't he? Proper killer's row of presenters with him along with Moyles doing his 40 minute monologues between records on the breakfast show.
