At this point in my life, I really shouldn't be surprised at reading about another wrestler dying young, but this one really caught me.
Maybe it's because he was home grown, or because he was someone I'd seen around, not just on screen, or from sitting 40 feet away in the audience. There's a sense that he was "one of us". The only comfort I can think of is that he was able to make such a significant impact outside of the UK, that he'll be rightfully remembered as the extraordinary talent that he was.
