That sort of thing often occurs - in the US, for example, California is further north than you think. New York City is actually further south than California's northernmost points. And the Great Lakes have their southernmost points further south too.

Bristol is further north than Winnipeg. Thanks, Gulf Stream.

...that Scotland Yard is named thus because it was the site of the houses that were the residences of the ancient kings of Scotland when they visited England.

It got its current name from the phrase uttered by Scotch diplomats when asked by hansom cab drivers if they knew where they wanted to go. “Och Aye The Noo, Scotland Yard” they’d say while eating a bowl of porridge with shortbread in their beards.

His family must be well supported by that then? Remember Bischoff saying in a Kayfabe Commentaries shoot WCW didn't have to pay Savage a penny because he came in with Slim Jim's.

You'd hope so. I've heard the same elsewhere, Savage essentially took the Slim Jim sponsorship with him at a substantial amount of revenue. Apparently Mcmahon was sore about it because business was on the slide and he'd not long had to pay out to Ventura.

Fair play to Savage though, I've read he would give it 110% whenever he had to do anything for them and always went in full gimmick to any event.

That Malcolm Tucker and all the characters from The Thick Of It exist as real people in the Marvel Comics.

And that Armando Iannucci is writing for Marvel.

Malcolm Tucker is also a character in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which means that this is now a crossover with an Alan Moore series. Sure he's over the moon about that.
