Yeah, I've got a pleasant routine going watching a game (or two) in the evening, then waking up the next morning to catch up with the 8/9 minute highlight packages of the overnight games on iPlayer while I eat my breakfast. It gets less fun when the group stage is over.

This is exactly what I've been doing, although I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can watch highlights where the thumbnail doesn't give away spoilers???

So hyped to see Bruno Fernandes stand back and watch while Ronaldo blasts multiple free kicks over the bar. He'll probably score a tap in at the end of the match and do a massive 'siuuu' thing to allow him to continue the delusion that he isn't somehow holding back arguably Portugal's best squad ever.

Well, he is the protagonist of life, so you'd expect nothing less!

I've never been into 'superstars' in football, but my five-and-a-half-year-old son is bang into football right now and, as is usually the case, he's into all the players the playground talk up as being the best.

I need Ronaldo to have a shocker so he can pivot towards the more likeable (or at least less detestable) Messis and Haalands of the world.

He did lavish praise on Cape Verde's keeper the other night, so there's hope for him yet...

bbc.co.uk/nospoilers is what you want. Apparently they had a few where the thumbnail gave one or two things away but they seem to have straightened it out now.

I remember the 2010 World Cup. I'd done something to my back and my GP signed me off sick for the group phase. I spent those two weeks on a recliner in the garden enjoying the games. An experience second only to when I spent the first week of the World Cup on a road trip around Germany with friends watching matches on huge screens with the fans.

ITV's YouTube is doing a much better job now, no spoilers and finally putting the match time on the highlights. No idea why they didn't do that at first.

ITV's full matches page has spoiler-free thumbnails here.

Who'd have thought spending years in basically an exhibition league would leave you off the pace of international football

Well that was fantastic entertainment. That second half was the best football any team has played so far this tournament, and the 10/15 minutes after half time, the goalie having a worldy aside, they could've filled their boots. England were so aggressive in that period, it was impressive.

The fact that they can bring on players like Saka, Rashford (should start, Gordon was poor) Rogers to stretch a game is such a bonus. The forward options are stacked.

That defensive pairing though...not sure about it. Maybe Tuchel should play Guehi, you know England's best centre back?

Anyway, small criticism, I was entertained and that's all I really want.

Luka, my beloved, beloved Luka. Time is time mate.

Brilliant second half from England, the equaliser clearly lit a fire up them cos it should have been 4/5/6-2 early on but for their keeper

I think Tuchel will ring the changes a touch for Ghana on Tuesday as Stones and Konsa looked very shaky at times and Gordon failed to show why Barca got suckered into buying him

I'm glad to see Rashford get that kind of goal. That season at Barça has done him good. I don't think it likely he'll be back at United, even if the Catalans don't buy him, but I'll always wish him well wherever he goes.

I would 100% take him at the Lane. He still has so much to offer when he's full of confidence.

Has Rashford ever really let England down? 19 goals now is a great return for a player often criticised for not being a finisher or scoring enough.

Even during that period when he was struggling for Utd, he was always solid for his country.

I think we saw the biggest difference between Touchel's England and Southgate's last night. Half time! Under Southgate, he's have gone in at half time and taken the softly softly approach. Tuchel has obviously gone in and given them the hairdryer and told them exactly what he thinks. It's worked too!

Tuchel and Kane have both said at halftime Tuchel just told them all to calm down and keep playing the way they had been but be even more attacking.
