Always surprises me that out of all the WCW properties they could have adopted, this was never used as a full WWE PPV. I always thought it was a brilliant opportunity to get creative with sets, and character costumes/gimmick matches. Plus, I think its a great name for a wresting show.

Despite being a wrestling fan for about 35 years, I really doubt I'd make a special journey to visit one of these(obviously if it was 30 mins away from home, that might be different, but chances are it would be in London, no doubt). I might plan a weekend away where I incorporate this along with a show, a night out etc, but not this on its own. The big issue for me would be that knowing how WWE operate, it would either be a WWE exhibition, or a wrestling exhibition with out WWE. I'd want to go and see things from the Hackenschidt days, the US territory days, World of Sports era, Japan, Mexico as well as WWE and WCW. Basically I'd want to see a proper wrestling history exhibition. As much as I love 80's and 90's(and very early 2000's) WWE and WCW, Im not sure it would be enough to get my juices flowing.

For me, it's become and award for the player who has had the best 12 months on the pitch. Be that goals, assists, influence, trophies or a mix of the above, whoever has performed their role the best deserves the award. I like that, and I think its how it should be! I dont think, if you use that rationale, that Kane is an unworthy winner. Did i read somewhere its the second most goals ever scored over a calendar year? And if you use the "he plays for Bayern, he SHOULD win everything and score tons), why has all the word class forwards they have had like Levondowski(for example) not score 70 plus goals in a season? I honestly think we've been lucky enough to watch one of the best 2 English goal scorers of all time(with Jimmy Greaves), and I think the fact he had to actually work to become that(those who coached him have said he was never a natural finisher when coming through) makes him a shining example to ALL young players in an age where they seem to think they are owed a career. Well done Harry Kane! On the other hand, however they made a Ballon D'or shortlist without a single Barnsley player on there after the 12 months they have had, Is a travesty!
