deathrey Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Well DV reports go up 34% when England lose, but 21% when England win so I guess the real solution is for the Team to stop playing. I know no one asked but this is the first year I've been called up by schools and asked to come out and do some safeguarding work with the kids before they break up for the summer specifically citing the World Cup as the reason. It's funny that if you look at the online reaction, you've got half the people calling her out for it, then the thicker half of the people, who are also wildly missing the point, jumping in to defend it with the whole 'well actually... Gooner Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Big win for us. We started nervously and didn't do anywhere near enough on the attacking front in the first half, second half was a lot better when we were more forceful, when we had possession of the football. The work-rate, discipline, desire and defensive shape was mostly at a high level throughout the game. Fantastic break, run/cross from Thomss-Asante to Yirenkyi who finished it well from a few yards out. We will gain a lot of confidence from getting that win and starting the campaign with a bang. England next Tuesday is huge, we will need to be at the same level with our defensive shape, but make sure with any counter-attacks we get, that we make the most of it and go right for their back-line as it is suspect, to get a positive result, give the players, fans that extra believe, that we can qualify for the final 32 and beyond. I started watching the Mexico vs South Korea highlights on BBC Sport and just turned them off after about 15 seconds. His voice just makes me disgusted. A sort of high pitched misery, the intonation of someone who thinks he should be bigger than he is. I loathe him. Quote
