Lio is an incredibly volatile character. Not that people should have to keep their opinions to themselves but he's often one for rash decisions like posting stuff online or retiring all the time.

Yeah. However, it looks like what has happened here is what should have happened, which is that Lio made his concerns known, he had a conversation with management and is now satisfied that they will do better going forward. Either that or Khan said "you like working here, Lio?"

Keith Lee is in a great spot now in terms of negotiations with AEW. I know there is a couple here who are not big fans but I think the guy is money and would easily fit into AEW's main event scene. He is big, charismatic and a great worker with indy cred.  Who also got fucked about by daft WWE booking. Its an easy sell to the AEW fanbase.

To be honest Khan is fucking lucky a black, male wrestler as good as Lee is about to hit the free market. Hopefully he can bend AEW over for a great deal as they certainly need him atm.

Another strange part of that Swole rebuttal is the ending - he goes in with the studs up on her quotes, and then scores an own goal by trying to plug Rampage. ‘Ah, he’s brown so that makes it all ok, and there’s a street fight tonight? Sold!’ It’s all a bit bizarre.

It makes more sense if you think about the last time he reacted weirdly to criticism - when he was asked about the all-women NWA show and clearly lumped it in with the criticism of how women have been booked on AEW.

Now, a woman is criticising the booking of people of colour - so he talks about the non-white wrestlers, but also makes clear there's been a prominent women's match. Two, erm, birds, one stone.

Didn’t he turn it into a rant about how he was paying their wages to appear on the NWA show, which no one asked him about?

It probably wasn't a good idea to promote a match featuring 4 blonde white girls in a reply to a tweet about racial diversity either.

He's your typical internet wrestling fan for me. Nice enough but deeply insecure and takes any criticism really really personally. If he'd posted on here, as opposed to F4W or wherever, he'd be one of those previously sound posters that has meltdown, tells us all to fuck off and demands that his account be deleted.

At this point, I'd say the good still outweighs the bad but he's on a slippery slope. It's crazy that there's so much good stuff happening in AEW right now and no one is talking about it, solely because of Tony Khan's sheer lack of professionalism and self-control.

The point he was trying to make was that he was being accused of not having done enough for women's wrestling, even though he bankrolled the better part of an all-women's show, he just did a typically awful job of making the argument

I fear the day he tries to handwave it all away by announcing that he's neurodiverse as if it gives him some kind of free pass to be a shitty person online, much like Elon Musk did when he started getting dragged over the weird name he gave his kid and the issues with Grimes. Especially when he's either refusing to see the consequences of his outbursts or just letting the mask slip even further. A simple "I worded that badly" would go so far to trying to rebuild some of the goodwill he's pissed away.
