Clubs have done worse deals than that. This assumes that he triggers the 'free transfer' clause he apparently has in his current contract. Fuck-tonne of merch' opportunities there too, for whichever club he ends up at. Before anyone asks, I clawed £600,000 / week out of the air. No idea what his wages are, or his demands would be. If it's less, even better for someone.

There's some tasty possible ties for these teams to hope to play in the next round. When you add TNS, Bala, Rangers, Motherwell and Aberdeen into it, there's a decent amount of representation from the UK and Ireland in the next round.
