Yes they did. I knew this would come back around. Not only did a champion get pinned, he got pinned by a bloke that's already wrestled twice. So he looks shit, and it doesn't matter now if Lashley beats him. Conversely if Lashley DOESNT beat him, he looks REALLY shit. Who's the winner in this type of booking? Nobody. SHIT. Paid Members Nick James Posted June 21 Paid Members Report Share Posted June 21 I can't believe the whole Ezekiel / Elias thing is happening on a show that is surrounded by utter, utter shite. The whole storyline has been fantastic from start to finish, huge props to Elias and KO for their part, KO especially. I just really hope we see an outing of El Vagabundo while we are at it.
Paid Members Fatty Facesitter Posted June 21 Paid Members Report Share Posted June 21 This Owens/Elias stuff is fantastic. It’s completely absurd, preposterous and ridiculous and I’m loving the shit out of it. The beard looked excellent - if anything maybe too excellent on the count of it being quite well-groomed. They even nailed the conversation backstage - I even thought the fist bump looked fine. Not to be one of those pillocks calling wrestlers by their real namez, but Jeffrey Sciullo played an absolutely blinder tonight. Both characters feel different and the delivery has been great. Hope he’s on double-pay. I am this close >< to questioning my own sanity on whether there are two of them or not now. Fuck’s sake. If he has an identical twin that they’ve magically unearthed, I’ll run the entire London Marathon naked. While we’re at it, fuck I love Kevin Owens.
Paid Members air_raid Posted June 21 Paid Members Report Share Posted June 21 It’s nice to read some love for what reads like a real rehabilitation for Elias. That they dropped the ball so badly on the guy playing those first few bars of Thunderstruck on that Oz show and ended up turning him heel is one of the few genuine heartbreaks I’ve had since…. I don’t even know.
Statto
If we assume the Ezekiel thing is now very much Elias fucking with KO's head because he finds it funny, they really should introduce Elmore, the fake 3rd brother Owens made up on the spot, next week. Get him a bald cap, fake goatee and a singlet and off you go.
Paid Members Supremo Posted June 21 Paid Members Report Share Posted June 21 What a triumph this Elias thing has become. Such brilliant, silly fun. When was the last time WWE teed up something and then nailed it so perfectly? Long may it continue.
Loki
It’s just sad that it’s the only thing worth watching on WWE tv, so you have to fwd through everything else to get to Elias. Zeke looming into shot in that post-guitarshot backstage segment was just… perfect.  Now they need to work out how to do a tag  match…
Paid Members Nick James Posted June 21 Paid Members Report Share Posted June 21 If ever there was a time for a return of the cinematic match, it's this one with Zeke and Elias interchanging throughout. It HAS to end with the full return of Elias, the guy is money and should have been a made man by now already. It's a shame he ended up with the Trumpian anchor in Jaxon Riker. Speaking of whom, seems to have popped up alongside Drake Wuertz to the shock of no one.

Elias donated to Drake's political campaigning so him and Jaxxsckson probably get along fine

RedRooster
I've only read the results of last night's show, but I'm genuinely shocked that Cena was OK with being introduced by Vince McMahon, given the allegations against him - and in particular the resurfacing of the rape claim. It's more than a subtle show of support from Cena, and it's very disappointing to see.
Paid Members air_raid Posted June 28 Paid Members Report Share Posted June 28 A YouTube thumbnail I've just seen indicates that a video aired where superstars past and present paid tribute to Cena - including Chris Jericho. True?
Shane O' Mac Version 2
Yep. Also Daniel Bryan Danielson and Big Show.
Paid Members Nick James Posted June 28 Paid Members Report Share Posted June 28 No Garth this week? I think this thread should be renamed to 'Garth Crooks' Official Raw Review'.

I think this thread should be renamed to 'Garth Crooks' Official Raw Review'. Garth's been kept quiet as last week was the first time in a while they pinned a champion in a non-title match. Not including tag team champions losing singles matches because that doesnt really count, as they arent champions in singles so it doesnt weaken them by losing the match they aren't champions of. But they made up for that by last weeks being particularly egregious.
