SuperBacon 7,555
Made the mistake of showing my kids that Mario Kart Home Circuit video, ffs. They've been designing courses around their houses all night, and want to use the dog and the cat as obstacles. At £100, that's a grandparents purchase for sure, for as good as it looks, I bet it doesn't really work properly in the way they've shown.

Seem’s a bit fucking cheeky to me. If you want my £500 or whatever show me what I’m getting first. I didn't even know there was such a thing. That's incredibly brazen. I wonder if a few 'winners' are going to have a nasty surprise one the price is revealed?

They’re also drawing the winners based on PlayStation use so if you have that Bloodborne platinum you’ve probably got a good chance! What that actually looks like is that they’re making sure only one account gets the ‘chance’ to buy one. Just release a price and date ffs. Xbox will be cheaper and more powerful but they’ve pushed Halo back and the people that really cares about box specs probably already have a gaming pc.
Paid Members Accident Prone 3,486 Posted September 4, 2020 Paid Members Report Share Posted September 4, 2020 So who has the hands-on opinions for THPS? I'm still feeling weary about the franchise, stemming from the THPS5 debacle so i don't want to throw my cash down just yet, but I trust most (okay, some) of the voices on this board. I'm really wanting it to be great but I also realise that it's modern gaming and has every chance to be sabotaged and shite.
Bicurious Dad 967
Initial reviews have been really positive, I’m picking it up after work so can’t say for myself but it sounds like it’s a return to form.
Moderators Chest Rockwell 7,303 Posted September 4, 2020 Moderators Report Share Posted September 4, 2020 Man, I wish they could have put it out on Switch.
Bicurious Dad 967
Same to be honest, Xbox or PS4 means I won’t get to play as much due to competing for screen time with the wife and kids. Work takes up enough time as it is so having the portable option would have given me more time in the evenings with it.

Looks to be an RC car that transmits video back to the Switch. Nice design. Kids will definitely get creative with it. Like you mentioned though. It'll be difficult to live up to the video. CAREBEAR LUVVA 233
This might be the most underwhelming "next generation" so far. Slightly faster loading times and a bit of fancy sunlight. Boss.
DavidB6937 2,028
Nothing will ever beat the feeling I got going into Virgin and playing Super Mario 64 for the first time. I wish I could capture that excitement again.
Mr_Danger 3,258
It’s not even like the games you’d expect to be pushing the systems to their absolute limits like Red Dead 2, Last of Us 2 or Tsushima are buggy messes. They ran perfectly fine for me and looked great.  The only game that really grates on me for slowness was AC Odyssey.

Almost exactly the same feeling as playing Mario 64 for the first time.
