Tony Khan has said that the whole "they have to announce big signings and not do surprises like Sting any more" report wasn't true, just that TNT were really happy to be able to promote the Big Show signing the way they did. There's likely to be a combination of pre-announced and surprise signings in future anyway, as it should be. Though debuting on PPV would make that all a moot point anyway.
