That's not a bad call actually.  I still think that if you're ordering pizza or kebabs from a chippy you're better if going to a pizza place or a kebab shop.

My local chicken place has a doner spit.  There's no way I'm taking that risk.

My local kebab shop in Germany was amazing and did an fantastic Lahmacun/Turkish pizza with veal doner. 

Not a proper fucking chip in sight though. When I found a proper battered cod in winter it was bliss, even if it was on a giant bred roll. On that note, fish sandwich is worth a try to anyone not tried it.

From what little I remember about Germany, they have some sort of fish burger takeaway scene going on?  I remember them (and all other German cuisine) being pretty awful.

I reckon Britain does the best takeaways - the biggest selection and the best quality.  Certainly in Europe.  Istanbul has some badass kebabs, obviously.

Sorry guys, I forgot to take a picture of my dinner. I was at the mother in laws so went to one of my old haunts. Rock n Roe. They do Fishtucky. 4 bits of cod, bit larger then cod bites, but in a “southern” fried coating. Despite being a proper chippy, their chips are just average but the Fishtucky is lovely

That’s a special. It’s Cod, Haddock, Skate and Rock as their main food items
