It’s mad that they were doing alright this time and it’s been killed off by external factors. But selfishly, I’m glad that it means less promotion and crossover stuff on the wrestling. Although I don’t think there was that much this time compared the old XFL.

Yeah they seemed to learn a lot this time round, although who knows what Vince would've attempted to do if it went downhill again.

Yeah. Effectively WWE as a corporate entity owned some class b stock, so in effect WWE still had "no involvement" in the same way I have "no involvement" with HSBC despite having some shares with them. I imagine WWE as a company have multiple shares / investments with other businesses. 

Plus Im sure it helped with relations with the board members of WWE knowing that XFL success = financial income for WWE as a company.

In isolation, I feel sorry that XFL folded in this manner. A real shame.
