Briefcase
I thought the 30 for 30 XFL was brilliant from the first time round. As someone who has never been into the NFL (or XFL the first time round) I was gripped to the documentary.Ā

Paid Members Statto Posted February 8, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted February 8, 2020 So the league starts play today. They've (nearly) made it over the first really big hurdle...
The King of Old School
BT Sports have the rights to it too, might give it a watch later out of curiosity.
WyattSheepMask
So have we all got 2/1 odds that this dies another very quick death? Original XFL wasnāt shown here was it? Although George Rymer at my school swore blind that he watched a game on Sky Sports Edited February 8, 2020 by WyattSheepMask
PBWFan
I think this season might do not bad - they seem to have learned from their mistakes - first of all having a limited schedule and teams.Ā Ā The main difference is opting for Saturday and Sunday game days with only two games per day. So the viewing isnāt mega intense Ā i can see them simply dipping their toe this season and expanding in future as opposed to to quick. The rule changes look interesting and their marketing during Super Bowl/playoffs was quite heavyĀ Ā I reckon theyāve done the business the right way this time and really looking at the āsportā aspect of it rather than trying to bring entertainment and glitz to football like they did the first time. Ā looking forward to seeing it and glad we can watch it live in UK

Snitsky's back acne
For what it's worth there seems to be largely positive comments about it on Twitter. Ā
Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted February 8, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted February 8, 2020 Iām watching the first game. I gave to say the presentation has been very professional. Feels a bit more college football then NFL but not as loud or wacky as when it launched last time. Didnāt see the beginning so not sure if Vince addressed the crowd.Ā Ā

The presentation style/look was very typical ESPN, albeit with the obvious XFL tweaks like going into the locker room at half time and the coach/player audio during the game. But yeah, clean & professional (in contrast to the second game, on now, in which Fox Sports' announcers sound like they are calling the game from inside a bucket). *and as I say that, they've just fixed the sound. Otto Dem Wanz
No Vince promo in an XFL branded leather jacket after marching into the stadium, no FiendĀ pre tape interview? I'm out.
King Pitcos
I read that they run on and interview players immediately after big fuck ups? That sounds fun. I couldnāt sit through American football for it though, so Iām hoping thereāll be compilations of that kind of thing.
