Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted January 26, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted January 26, 2017 On the subject of chippies, I'd be very sad if someone somewhere in the UK didn't open one called Neptune's Pantry in tribute to Bottom.
Paid Members BigJag Posted January 26, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) They're a Neptune themed/named chippy in Loughborough. On the subject of chippies. The only good ones are ones that stick to the basics. Of there making anything other than Fish, chips, pies, and condiments. Then they should be avoided. Around Leicester the best chip shops are run by Greek/Cypriot families. Edited January 26, 2017 by BigJag
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted January 26, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted January 26, 2017 I'm guessing 300 Spartans is one of them, the only thing I really remember from the time I thought I was going to be going to loogabarooga uni. Paid Members BigJag Posted January 26, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted January 26, 2017 Actually I think the one in Loughborough that I mentioned earlier is that 300 Spartans one. Must have seen the Neptune one somewhere else.
Glenryck Pilchards
I have worked in two different Chinese takeaways doing home delivery and both used Robinsons Lemon Cordial for their Lemon Chicken. All they do is bring it to heat with cornflour and then bathe battered chicken in the sauce.
Paid Members Gus Mears Posted January 26, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted January 26, 2017 All they do is bring it to heat with cornflour and then bathe battered chicken in the sauce. Not true. My local puts a wafer-thin slice of lemon in the container too.
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted January 26, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted January 26, 2017 The best chippy I have been to is the Port and Starboard in Indian Queens in Cornwall. On the whole however chippies in the north are better. Â There is a chippy near me called Ye Olde Reindeer, for no apparent reason that I've ever been able to work out. Paid Members Tommy! Posted January 26, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted January 26, 2017 Cornwall is the exception to the north / south chip shop rule, but then it does conform to the better at the coast rule. Â Best chips I've had have certainly been at the Yorkshire coast.

Mr_Danger
That looks fucking disgusting. Well done. Loses points for a lack of cheese though.

Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted January 31, 2017 Paid Members Share Posted January 31, 2017 Are those meatballs made of a "Named" meat or are they just meatballs?
Kamaras-Tash
Get rid of the tuna and I'd eat that, I'd add homemade chips as well along with 3 slices of buttered bread
