Snitsky's back acne
According to The Sun, WWE has not only denied Luke Harper's request for a release but also added 6 months to his contract as 'time owed' from when he was out with injury. The King Of Swing
If Harper told Vince to go fuck himself before punching Byron Saxton, he would probably get a title run. Company is run by a bunch of cunts. Nothing will change though.

Jonny Vegas
Bit of a dangerous precedent to set in my opinion treating guys like that. No wonder Ambrose left and in the future it may make people reluctant to extend once they've made enough money to set themselves up with a house etc or other reluctant to sign in the first place in the future. Someone like Harper was probably unlikely to change the landscape of pro wrestling if he left and went to AEW but treat your roster badly enough and the long term effects could cause damage. Possibly, but it's interesting that the contracts are for 'x amount of ACTIVE years' rather than just 'x amount of years'. Mind you, these people know what they're signing. It'll be interesting to see if Harper does return or goes the Neville route and sits out the rest of his contract - however, surely, WWE in that instance could just say 'well the longer you stay at home that's just more time you owe us'? It does seem crazy that WWE will let someone sit at home fully paid rather than just release them though but, hey, that's 'business' I guess.
wordsfromlee
I think Rey got around having extra time added onto his contract due to injury by saving all his wages from when he was injured and giving it back to WWE.

Paid Members Carbomb Posted April 25, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted April 25, 2019 WWE in "Bunch of Utter Cunts" shocker. Guy got injured working for them, it's an occupational hazard. Surely something like that is actionable, though? Would it hold up in law if challenged, especially given when, in the past, they've released people while injured? The general consensus is that the guys would win if these things went to court. But they never do because wwe has billions of dollars and the guys don’t have the money or time to fight it. It’s like the star cast stuff. WWE think they can do whatever they want despite the existence of contracts because no one will go through the trouble of suing them. Look how much it cost cm punk in his lawsuit. Over several years it cost Millions of dollars and his best friend. Luke Harper doesn’t have punk t shirt money.
