Paid Members mim731 Posted August 4, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 4, 2025 The Brock thing is horrible, and it certainly leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Beyond that, I can't add much more. Up until that point I had really enjoyed the main event, and in fact pretty much the whole show. Naomi/Rhea/Iyo was superb, Dom/AJ was far better than expected, TLC was carnage in a silly modern WWE way that is utterly sanitized but it was fine for what it was, and the Ciampa spot on the cable was a lot of fun. Solo/Jacob Fatu was fine, as was Becky/Lyra. Weird question, but was that an AI Dusty voice on Cody's entrance? Didn't recognise the promo if it was a real one. Quote
Kfogg1991 Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 We all expected some shenanigans at the end of Cody/Cena but that was the absolute worst even by there standards. Personally I enjoyed bits from both nights but in no way did it warrant being pushed to two days like mania. I throw my hands up and fully admit I was sucked in with the main event from the very start and both of them put a shift in and gave it everything from the start till finisher 710 that Cody hit to win it and get his belt back without turning heel which I was dreading. It looked obvious something was happening when Cody the new champion left the ring and went to the back Via side of the ramp not up it through gorilla like normal but my stomach completely turned when Brock's music hit and all you could hear was 99% of the crowd cheering and going wild for him when it's pretty impossible to not know what's happening and how sinister his part in it was but Cena demanded it on his final run so they brought him back. The only thing we can hope and pray happens now is a mass withdrawal from the sponsors who didn't have a clue obviously but like slim Jim and Vince it happens again but more than one leaves because of it. So premeditated with the press conferences being pulled which was odd when we got it after night one but made total sense after night two and shows they almost guaranteed to have tones of questions from the media on it and they know how unacceptable it is but instead of not doing it they went with changing formats so they don't get confronted with it. No doubt at all Vince will be there for Cena's last match in December coming out for a hug and a teary eyed thank you appearance shocking Quote
Paid Members Chris B Posted August 4, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 4, 2025 I'm not surprised at WWE/TKO being okay with this. I am surprised Netflix are. If this blindsided them, this could be interesting. Quote
boshealecta Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 Can’t believe the reports that John Cena apparently requested Brock as an opponent. It’s like now Hogans dead he wants to become the legend who has turned problematic. Quote
Tennessee Moltisanti Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 (edited) Would there be anything that would stop alot of you from watching, because this is clearly leading to Vince coming back "for Cena". Edited August 4, 2025 by sukhy Quote

Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 4, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 4, 2025 It’s times like this when I’m thankful my kids haven’t shown any interest in wrestling. Zero. They didn’t inherit it from me thank god. My nephews love it though and they’re young enough that they’re still blissfully unaware of all the seedy ugly stuff. Well, not entirely true, they’ve seen Paul Heyman in 4K. But it’s still simple for them like it was for us when we didn’t know what was going on behind the curtain in the 80s/90s. I actually thought about dipping back in for SummerSlam this year but I must admit I find the two night thing off-putting. I just about accepted WrestleMania as a two night event and even then I’m not keen. But I never got around to SummerSlam anyway and then saw the spoilers. Kind of glad I didn’t bother now. I’ll stick to old Bret Hart matches and 88-94 WCW from here on out, I think. Quote

Members SuperBacon Posted August 4, 2025 Members Posted August 4, 2025 I thought that main event was absolutely excellent to be honest. My heart sank when I saw how much time was left on the show, but I loved every second of it. The rest of what I watched on night 2 was shit, but that was a quality main event ?♂️ Quote
Mowgli Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 No easy way to put this.... Has Janel Grant named Brock in her lawsuit? The twitter link a few pages back seems to be her saying Vince says Brock wants to do this and that to you, which might be true but it also might be Vince lying. There was something on that link that mentioned a dinner but again is Vince lying and saying Brocks there to have sex with her? For all we know Brock could be there legitimately as part of his contract negotiation and have no clue whats going on. Maybe that link doesn't have all the details but Vince is a deluded old man and the things he's saying are hardly conversations you'd have with your best pal let alone employees. Quote

He (Brock) was going to be complicit in sex trafficking twice but he was preventing one time by a snowstorm and the second time by him getting insanely drunk and cancelling. I understand why he's allowed come back though. Legal teams don't deal with morals, and the company is a den of utter ghouls. Quote
Paid Members DEF Posted August 4, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 4, 2025 From Grants legal team. “For far too long, abuse was allowed to thrive under WWE’s leadership. Instead of righting this wrong, WWE has done nothing to ensure those responsible are held accountable. This attempt to sweep misconduct under the rug will backfire. We look forward to the full set of facts, including those about Mr. Lesnar, coming out in a court of law where they belong but, in the meantime, we refer you back to Janel Grant’s updated complaint, which outlines, in detail, the abuse she endured by McMahon and others while employed at WWE.” Here's the bits of the lawsuit where Lesnar is named in the suit. • 15. McMahon treated Ms. Grant as a commodity—offering her to other men. In March 2020, McMahon began sharing sexually explicit photographs and videos of Ms. Grant (including pornographic content he recorded on his cell phone) with other men both inside and outside the company, including with members of the television production “tech” team, executives, producers, and a world-famous athlete and former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar, with whom WWE was actively trying to sign to a new contract (and ultimately did sign that contract). • 27. Even after pushing Ms. Grant out of the Company and muzzling her with an NDA, McMahon continued efforts to exploit her, including attempting to traffic her to a WWE star Brock Lesnar who would be in New York City for a live event and TV taping in March 2022. • 221. Upon information and belief, McMahon began to recruit Lesnar for a sexual encounter with Ms. Grant while she was still a coordinator in the legal department. By July of 2021, McMahon informed Ms. Grant that WWE Superstar Lesnar would be their next “playmate.” • 224. On or about July 12, 2021, McMahon directed Ms. Grant to create personalized sexual content for Lesnar. McMahon shared the photos with Lesnar and then informed Ms. Grant that “he likes what he sees” • 225. On July 21, 2021, McMahon flew and/or caused WWE SuperstarLesnar to fly on a jet into a local airport and travel into Connecticut (across state lines) for what McMahon described to Ms. Grant as a “business dinner,” as well as a sexual encounter with Ms. Grant in McMahon’s condo. Upon information and belief, the dinner was to discuss Lesnar’s continued involvement with WWE. Prior to the “business dinner” with McMahon, Lesnar made a brief visit to Ms. Grant’s building. However, Lesnar did not return to the building for a sexual encounter because he was too intoxicated and taken back to the plane. Quote
RIDDUM_N_STYLE Posted August 4, 2025 Posted August 4, 2025 It was on course to be a really decent night’s wrestling, then that man bun sporting cunt waltzes out. Is there no one in that god damned place with the balls enough to say ‘I don’t think that’s such a good idea’? Quote

Yes. I’m not watching anything WWE produced. Not even as background noise as I often would. The friends who I was watching Summerslam with also felt the same so yeah I’m out while Brock is in. I’ll read results, I’ll read what people say here, but yes i finally got to that point. 2 hours ago, Devon Malcolm said: How many 'Talent are reported to be very upset / angry' dirtsheet stories have we had so far? Zero. I’d be shocked if everyone is ok with it, but unless it’s top talent, it will be radio silence I’m sure. Quote
