I gave X a click AND I read about 100 of the thickest bastards in the world all trying destroy Ian with their oh-so-clever thick bastard gotcha attempts. This is your fault Chili.

Weird question, but was that an AI Dusty voice on Cody's entrance? Didn't recognise the promo if it was a real one.

Ah of course! I just assumed AI because that seeks exactly like something WWE would do. Slightly odd to repurpose a promo that was technically about Dustin for Cody, but I guess options are limited on that front in fairness.

That promo doesn’t contain all the content of the Cody thing either, so I do wonder where the rest came from.

As Mim has said too, seems a bit icky to repurpose a famous promo meant for Dustin and give it to Cody.

Isn't the man who's been dead for 10 years who was never a real world's champion in that intro Dusty himself?

A depressing end to an otherwise pretty solid Night Two. Left a really nasty taste in the mouth and a hollow feeling in the stomach. Once they got into the latter stages of that main event, it became clear neither man was going to turning heel, so I started to wonder whether Final Boss Rock might make an appearance alongside someone else willing to sell their soul, because obviously there just has to be a 'viral moment'. Can't just go off the air with a good finish any more, can we? It occurred to me then that there's nobody left on the shelf that could make an impact... Except Brock Lesnar. I was watching with a sense of dread from that point, though I still didn't really believe they'd do it.

It's a shame. I used to love Brock as a performer, but under these circumstances it's absolutely mental to bring him back in before Vince's case has even played out. If it's Cena requesting it, that wouldn't shock me, he didn't do his reputation any favours when previously commenting on the case against Vince.

To end on a few more positive notes... What a beautiful fucking moment it was for Naomi to have her dad play her to the ring! Must have meant the world to both of them. You could see she had to start her walk to the ring before she started to tear up.

The women really put a shift in on this show, both title matches were great (though both a little too long) and the girls getting involved in the ladder match all added to the chaos.

Yeah, after everything she's been through with leaving etc, I genuinely never thought she'd get a moment like that. Even when she did come back, it never really looked like she'd get to the top. She's really struck gold with the character development lately and I'm really pleased for her. A lovely thing for them both.

I'm seriously done. I've always made excuses for years saying "it'll be better when Vince goes, he's the problem" but it's getting worse. The Hogan tributes, HHH standing next to Trump, Brock coming back. They obviously don't give a shit.

I was planning to watch Summerslam as my first show since Mania but had a really busy couple of days and ended up reading the results instead and I'm so glad I didn't.

“Something they thought they wouldn’t get to see.” Why not, H?

Something that’s only dawning on me now, as sad as I was that they decided to bring him back, the pop he got is a sadder state of affairs. I’d love to know the split of fans genuinely unaware of his role in the lawsuit, and those that just don’t care.

Given who a likely majority of them voted for to be President...
