I’ve just seen the post-show clip where fans are chanting ‘we want Kross’ and Triple H either mishears them, or tries to suggest they’re chanting ‘we want Brock’. I really hope the decision to bring him back bites them in the arse in the same way the most recent Hogan return did.

On WOR, Meltzer is saying that WWE's legal department cleared Brock to return four weeks ago. He doesn't know exactly why, but he seems to think it's because they are under the impression that the Grant Vs. McMahon & WWE suit will be settled soon, either through an actual settlement or by going to arbitration, at which point Lesnar is 'not a factor'.

I won’t pretend I’m making a huge stand or anything, I’ve always loved to watch, read and discuss it, and probably always will, but fucking hell. I am in no mood to watch Night Two today knowing it ends on a fucking sex trafficker return.

Madness. Absolute madness.

Triple H was always one of my favourite wrestlers. I never really bought the whole “ego trip” stuff about how many he’d held down and power grabbed his way to the top. I just believed he really was “that damn good”.

It’s incredible how quickly your opinion can change on someone. The last couple years I have soured massively on him. He wants to be front and centre of everything. Utter disdain towards anything that might be critical of a decision. For some they’ll find it fine to write this off as “well he didn’t actually do anything” or “he rejects and tells Vince” but, while it’s ongoing and until we know the story, it’s just a ridiculous decision. And there’s no way Triple H sat in the opinion of him not actually having done anything as the cancelling of the pressers shows it’s much more sinister than that where he is fully aware but doesn’t want to be seen to defend it.

If the difference between acceptable and unacceptable on-screen is ‘person who is retiring wants you there’ I imagine you’re probably right. I don’t think they’d risk having him in the crowd though - it would more likely be Cena hugging a bunch of people from his past before going out, with Vince being the last one - with all of them heading out to the ring to congratulate him post-match. But yeah, this feels more likely than ever.

Might as well get the Ouija board out and summon Benoit back from the dead at this point. I had seen a lot of rumours about Brock returning last night, it was always inevitable. Vince will end up back. HOF with a Trump induction.

Away from WWE being scum, there’s one word that sums up the company these days - cringe. They’re so fucking cringe. That opening video package (who’s the bloke chomping on the cigar?) and reaction videos from streamers. Michael Cole and Becky Lynch being two of the cringiest cunts of all time. Seth in general. This whole new way it’s gone since the Netflix started is just not for me.

The fact that they cancelled the press conference, so they were well aware of the pelters they’d get for this and did it anyway is madness. 
 

Regardless of all the lawsuit stuff, I’m bored of the whole Lesnar schtick these days. Cena only has four months left and there’s loads of other people I’d rather see him feud with than Brock.
