Ah for fucks sake. I went to bed last night and the last post I saw on Facebook was "Ace Frehley rushed to hospital" and the first post I saw when I woke up at half 5 was that he was dead. Another icon gone. Agree with gmoney that up until recently he was my favourite member of Kiss. 

Had Love Gun on an unsuitable volume for half 6 in the morning.

that was 2016 - the same year we lost Muhammad Ali, Gene Wilder, Victoria Wood, Caroline Aherne, Ronnie Corbett, Leonard Cohen, George Michael, Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds, and, of course, Paul Daniels.

I always remember the celebrity deathmageddon as happening in 2016 because above everybody else that died that year the absolute titan of a man that was my grandad died. I might stick some stories about him in the "What's your family been up to" thread because he was a proper character.
