Today's been a shite day. The loss of Jota is absolutely tragic. He was in the peak of his life, just so so sad.

And Michael Masden has some terrific work to his name. One lesser known favourite of mine was the classic Quantum Leap episode Jimmy, where he plays the bully working at the shipyard. This was a few years before he got his big break in Reservoir Dogs.

Madsen is a shame. He was brilliant in Reservoir Dogs. I'll always remember him being in a pretty fun show called Vengeance Unlimited that was on late night Channel 4 on a Thursday/Friday.

Madsen is obviously superb in Reservoir Dogs, but he's also incredibly good in Donnie Brasco, playing Sonny Black with a real quiet menace.

He voiced one of the main villains, Daud, in the fantastic Dishonored video game trilogy and was great in that. Always enjoyed him in the Tarantino movies.

And the lucky man got to be in CBB with such stars as Denise Welch, Frankie Cocozza, Natasha Giggs and Sonia from Eastenders. What an experience that must’ve been for him.

He had a brilliant 90s especially, so much so that people forget or don't mention half the really good stuff he was in. Highly recommend anyone who liked him to watch Kill Me Again, it's my favourite performance of his.

A pretty rum day. I haven't seen as much of Madsen as I probably should have, but Mr. Blonde is one of the most iconic roles in cinema. Yeh, he was good in Kill Bill  but for me he'll always be Vic Vega. A shame Tarantino never did that Vega brothers film.

That's a really good film. 

Madsen was someone I always enjoyed watching whenever he showed up in stuff. A real sense of menace about him. Trouble Bound (1993) is another one I'd recommend that might have slipped under the radar for people.

It's funny that for someone so good at playing the hard man/ psycho, for a generation born in the mid to late 1980's he will be remembered as the kindly Foster dad in Free Willy.

Genuinely skipped the X Files opening for a good few years because it really fucking freaked me out. Obviously I grew up and ended up absolutely adoring the theme and the score. Plus the dance remix they released at some point was pretty fucking cool too.

Dont know why but had absolutely no idea he was quite that old.

Julian McMahon has passed from Cancer aged 56.  He was the randy paladin surgeon in Nip Tuck and Dr Doom in the first 2 Fantastic Four movies.  Also once married to Danni Minogue, jammy bastard.

He was huge in our household growing up for his turn as Cole/Belthazor, the sexy demon turned good guy in Charmed. Always liked to see him show up in things, sad news.

Very sad news. I used to be a fan of Nip/Tuck years ago as it was so ridiculously over the top.

I recently saw him in The Surfer with Nicolas Cage. I enjoyed the film and thought he gave a good performance as a creepy cult-leader type.

Always remember him from the "This is it" music video chasing her down the beach and swinging on the swings.  Only in reading the obituaries did I discover that his dad had been the Australian Prime Minister.
