Oh no. I know Cosby turned out to be a wrong 'un, but I used to watch The Cosby Show on Channel 4 back when I was younger. That's a sad way to go. 

 

EDIT: Charles Augins, who was Queeg in that one episode of Red Dwarf, passed away over the weekend at the age of 81.

I remember seeing Sabbath at the Ozzfest in 2001. I was exhausted, sunburnt, bruised from making the mistake of trying to get in the pit for Slipknot, and frankly wondered whether I'd still be awake at the end of Disturbed's set. Sabbath came on, and Ozzy just had this energy. I was reinvigorated and full of energy a few songs in. It was a heck of a show. Several friends went to see the Sabbath show at Villa Park the other week and said he was brilliant. 

An awful loss, but a heck of a way to say goodbye. BBC4 this Friday night will ve pretty special.

Gutted. Just looked up and saw the news and it hit me hard. I love Ozzy. A unique singer and fantastic frontman. A very funny man too. I only got to see Sabbath once around 10 years ago and he was in great form. To survive as long as he did with what he put his body through is amazing. I’d recommend his autobiography for anyone who hasn’t read it. I couldn’t put it down, it’s such a great read.

What an influence he had on heavy metal music. There will never be another quite like Ozzy.

Shunsaku Tamiya, founder of Tamiya which is probably the best known model kit maker today has passed at 90. You've likely used their paints or panel liners if play with minatures (ooh er) too.

This is a sad one.

I had a remote control Tamiya 'Monster Beetle' that I got for Christmas 95. It was about a 5 hour charge for 30 mins of play time but my god what a 30 mins.

I played with this for years and my nephew has it now.

Ray French at the age of 85.

He was an international in both codes of Rugby before becoming the BBC's lead Rugby League commentator in 1982.

I'm too young to remember his predecessor, Eddie Waring, so for me, Ray French will always be the voice of Rugby League.
