The last two episodes have been very good.

Eddie Gilbert was an interesting guy and I wasn’t familiar with his story so i enjoyed it.

Billy Jack Haynes……..well …….erm….

He is a bit of a character isnt he……and not in a good way.

He reminded me of a type of person you get saddled talking to you in the pub when you are young and they end up spouting enormous whoopers but it’s almost like they have convinced themselves that it’s true.

Definitely some undiagnosed behavioural mental condition with all his lies.

He did have a great look is about the nicest thing you could say about him.

Hogan’s lies are at least comical and those of a deluded idiot, Haynes is something else altogether due to, as you alluded, whatever mental condition he has. It’s actually quite sad because the guy has clearly needed help for quite some time

Latest episode lives up to the name Dark Side.  Very sad story about Daffney and her mental health struggles.  Not an easy watch.

Definitely up there with the saddest episodes they've ever done and I'm glad they told her story. I teared up big time at the end as I remember watching the Forensic Files episode they talked about and that was a beautiful thing for somebody to do for someone else.

Good to see a story about Renegade because his story was a sad one, I think because of what he portrayed he is somewhat lessened generally. I always felt incredibly bad for the guy.

I've shat on the last few seasons in this thread, but I actually went back and watched the Tenta, Beefcake, Gordy and Race season from the start, and as a somewhat brief bio piece, they're a pretty good watch.

Three episodes on early TNA is crazy though. Will be plenty of padding in that. Should of cut one of those and just done a Necro Butcher episode, if they were doing something on the Joe match.

Is there anything interesting, backstage or during the match, about Necro/Joe? "Its a belter of a match in the ECW Arena" seems about it for the story. I assume it will just be an unofficial Necro bio to fill most of the time.

Three parts on JJ and TNA is mad.

Yeah, say you've run out of ideas without saying you've run out of ideas. Does it even warrant one episode?

I could maybe see it if it's:

  • Jeff Jarrett - WCW & WWF career into TNA starting (NWA-TNA)
  • TNA early years to Jarrett leaving
  • TNA post-Jarrett

but even that's probably better served by a two-parter and cutting that middle bit into the other two.

Would happily watch a full episode dedicated to Double J walking in out of companies on a dime. A whole, “In Your House,” event built around him, mimes his way through a concert, delivers a five star belter with HBK, then immediately leaves the company. Ain’t he great.

They can do one of those shadowy reconstructions and it’s just Vince coming back into the locker room to discuss how they’re going to reveal the Roadie as the real singer…only both of them have already fucked off, leaving letters of resignation.

Hopefully there's a good look into the state of the indies around the time, the IWA MS shows being at their peak and explaining what '420 Booking' is/was, maybe some talk about the amount of people who got their starts in places like it. Maybe talk about the graft of doing those weekend runs of shows in the middle of nowhere. It was 2005 so you're looking at Punk jumping to WWE not long after aswell. Might make a good story to hear about Necro flying back from Japan and going straight to the ECW arena to have this match and a match on the CZW show after it. I think it speaks to how truly great the Samoa Joe match is that the CZW match was 'in my opinion' almost as good as it and nobody fucking ever talks about it! be great to hear a bit about that.
