But anyone wearing specs reading this thread and justifying this figure must have them in pink.

It’s also the debut and early appearances of Danielson, Punk, Moxley etc.

Again, HBO executives must be falling over themselves to hear that. "They've got some Kenta Kobashi matches?! Give them an extra mil."

Exactly. It's honking quality, and some of the early venues look sub GCW these days.

And besides, who wants to see an OAP Abdullah the Butcher waddling around stabbing the Carnage Crew with forks in glorious 4K anyway.

If/when AEW have their streaming service set up, people would be getting it regardless of if they had the ROH library or not.  Hardly anyone on earth is going to say “I was in two minds about getting this network but because ROH is on it, I’ve made up my mind”.

But what’s more appealing, 30 hours of content or 300 hours of content, even if 200 hours of it is filmed in a phone in a gym.

Let's be honest, Tony Khan bought ROH so he could say that he bought ROH. That moment will live in his head forever and fuck any arguments about whether it's worth it from a business perspective or anything else. This is the guy that was tweeting a decade ago about Claudio. He couldn't care less what anyone else thinks about the deal.

I guess this figure will be put into perspective when Tony Khan offers Ian Rotten $20 million for IWA Mid-South so we can see that triple threat Eddie / Mysterio / Punk match and those eighteen hour long TLC matches Punk had with pre-fat Chris Hero.

Exactly, the biggest money mark in the history of wrestling.

I do know that Disney+ are absolutely desperate to get their hands on NWA Wildside.

David Young and Minnie Mouse, together at last.

Genuinely would love to know the due diligence done to value this sale at $30 million. A lot of the previous shows are already available through their Honor Club platform and didn't generate enough revenue to keep them in business. They are an important but niche promotion that was hot for only a few years (they trundled along the last few years).

There is no name value to the brand any more so it just seems to be a vanity buy to say that he owns ROH and has the early footage of his new signings early work. If he was to do documentary style output though for those guys he would still have an issue where the main years of their careers would not be able to be included making them slightly redundant.

How long can Tony Khan keep up going at full pelt 100%? He announced in the media scrum that he will be the head booker for ROH, as well as the various AEW shows. Granted, we don't know how frequent ROH will pop up, but the man is insane with how much he is taking on. Regardless of what you may think of him or where his money has come from, you cannot knock the chaps work ethic. He is definitely on the Vince wavelength more than he thinks, he will be sleeping for 24 hours on a Monday soon enough while not sleeping for the rest of the week.

As long as he can keep himself in cocaine and White Claws.
