I'm not sure there'd be much of an office staff left.
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted March 9, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted March 9, 2022 It's the principle of it though. Unless it's going to be some kind of "reapply for your job" situation, and even then I'd be dubious about it. You'd think he would have wanted some people there to help with a transition to the new ownership from both sides.

The company has been mothballed for months now. Even with a return the job had dramatically changed under Sinclair which is way talent and other staff have been moved on already. Those that are left behind would have known what situation they were in and that's why they're dealing with Sinclair to move to another part of the business or negotiating a severance package. The transition is what we're in the middle of right now as the deal hasn't been concluded.
Paid Members Jazzy G Posted March 9, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted March 9, 2022 There's still TV going out though, so there must be something going on somewhere, even if it's just editing footage together for highlight shows and making sure the streaming service and website are still up and running. It's surely easier to retain those people than having to start the whole thing again from scratch?
Paid Members Chris B Posted March 9, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted March 9, 2022 I'd interpret 'Don't expect it' as being 'don't rely on it' rather than 'absolutely nobody's going to be retained'. It's pretty standard when one company buys another to not have twice the amount of people doing the same thing. You'll keep the people you need, and it'll take a little time to figure out who they are.
Infinity Land
There's a chance some people are Sinclair employees and contracted out to ROH for specific jobs, or wear 2 hats like the RoH COO who is also a VP in Sinclair. My work contracted out our customer service department (call centre basically). Then brought it back inhouse which meant some people got TUPE'd over on their existing contracts to continue in their existing role. Some went back to the contracter, and others accepted severance packages to move on. By the sounds of things whatever staff RoH have left are in a similar position. Infinity Land
Earlier in the week there were reports about the competing visions for Supercard of Honor. The existing booking committee had their plans that they had been building towards including a rebrand. While Tony Khan obviously had his own ideas and wanted to take control of the show even though the sale isn't due to be finalised until after Supercard of Honor takes place. Unsurprisingly it looks like Tony Khan has won out. It's not totally clear what still stands from the previously promoted card. Bandido v. Gresham Briscoes v. TBD Swerve v. Alex Zayne Joe Hendry and Ninja Mack to appear. The Briscoes and Deonna Purrazzo are both booked for the Impact show and it seems there's a bit of an overlap time wise. That's without factoring in whatever the travel time would be between buildings.

Infinity Land
Tony Khan on his radio appearance today talked about a weekly series. Either on air or streaming so doesn't sound like anything is set in stone on that front. Â

Guest
Happens all the time here. You just have them go on first on respective shows, then they travel to the other show and go on second half.

Back in 90, Bret Hart went on first in Auburn Hills (Michigan) and then second last in South Bend (Indiana) on the same night.
