Keith Houchen
Little Tone should put the belt on himself and tell everyone to suck his balls. That would be money.

The King of Old School
To be fair I like the interim champion Gives it a "proper" sports vibe.
Merzbow
A battle royale kind of takes away that sports vibe, it's such a carny pro wrestling match. Tony does seem to love them tho. Wardlow should be chucking every tosser out at least.

I’m not mad about it either, but it could be quite a convenient way of getting the belt on to MJF, helping them strike when the iron is hot.
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted June 4, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted June 4, 2022 Unless they're going for an MJF swerve with the title (which might be the most interesting option) I'd put the title on Danielson for now. As much as I adore Moxley, Danielson is the best choice.
Guest
To get to Danielson you need to hotshot the next Danielson vs moxley match and feels too soon. Eddie Vs mox wouid be a nice crease in the Eddie and Danielson tiff.   re MJF, he does feel the right man for this, but would new Japan be happy he beats Tannahashi?
Chili
Terrible timing, glad they're not doing a tournament. Battle Royal should be interesting. For the sake of running gags, put it on one of the lads who shouldn't be there if cancellations were realises.

Yeah the interim match order is winner of battle royal vs mox faces Tana at forbidden door and it’s that match that determines the interim title. No one gets a belt this week
Paid Members WeeAl Posted June 4, 2022 Paid Members Share Posted June 4, 2022 Wardlow really should be winning the battle royale. If he does, I can't seem him beating Moxley. So it's a bad idea to have Wardlow in the battle royale, but it'd be a joke if he isn't. At the end of the day, the winner of that match is supposed to be main eventing a PPV opposite Tanahashi in a few weeks. So they have to carry the promotional side of things. They could go with the IWGP title as the main event, but I can't see that being the right move for an American PPV. Do that if you do a combined show emanating from Japan. They're in a bit of a corner with this one. Moxley has been wanting the Tanahashi match for a while. Maybe it really doesn't matter who wins the battle royale, if they have decided Moxley's the destination and the rest is just window dressing.
Chili
It's a shit box situation but the one thing you can't do now is put Wardlow in a Ryback situation, because he'll always be fucked.

He seems to have some limitations, including on the mic. He may develop into a more rounded performer, but he’s not there yet, and he’d be at real risk of having his weak points exposed if he’s overpushed. Infinity Land
Wardlow is easily sorted by having people gang up to eliminate him. This can lead to whatever his next feud is meant to be. Although I could see Mark Sterling and this class action lawsuit having him barred from entering. As that's meant to go somewhere.
