I'm going to say I think the name is a bit shit and also he looks like Hannah Botterman. Still early though and they have time to play with his appearance.

Have to say , considering what we say about contrived spots I absolutely hate this.

The guys already jumped and prepped to go, he just gets a nudge to do the rest.

 

 

I think Toa Liona did it to Michael Oku on the Forbidden Door preshow which seemed a bit more realistic.

Admittedly, being over on an indy show taking place in a function room above a pub is different than succeeding in WWE. He will need to work on his promos and I don't know if he has ever been a heel before but that's why he is there.

It seems they are pretty high on him from initial impressions at least. The rest is up to him. 

 

I just saw a vid of him leaving the ring guessing it was a bts vid for socials and he really does look like a fat lesbian. He's the double of my Aunty 😂

He used to look like some sleazy dickhead who chain smokes roll ups, whilst working the dodgems. It wasn't a great look but it worked.

Cutting his hair short, and dyeing blonde was not the way to go.

Megastar Izzi Dame standing tall at the end of the show, I’d say she doesn’t even need the belt, she’s enough personality that she can carry whatever feud they put her in without needing a title on the line 

Some good acts on the show at the moment that you can only see getting better if given time to breathe and not rushed up to the main roster

Vanity Project being a great example, they’ll beat Dark State next week with shenanigans but the place will go barmy when they eventually lose the belts, just hope they don’t end a comedy jobber tag team on Smackdown in a years time

Watched the Naraku in-ring debut. It's funny watching him have a regular wrestling match with no entourage or shenanigans. Booker T's inability to pronounce Naraku  was predictable but still a bit annoying. It's his debut and it's an extremely easy to pronounce name if you just sound it out like a toddler. Come on man. 

I thought he looked good! Nothing spectacular, but he's not a flashy super worker type anyway. It was all simple and effective in a good way; everything looked snug and vicious and like he was trying to hurt and grind down Dorado. I think he stands out amongst some of the greener talents in that veteran/old school heel brawler "no wasted motion" sort of way. He is a very experienced and really solid hand who will be able to have good matches with anyone on that roster no matter their experience level, so I think this initial run in NXT will be good for everyone else whether he needs it or not.

Cool to see him doing his thing without all the bullshit and I'm curious to see him mix it up with their upper carders. HIs G1 final against Takeshita last year was quite eye opening for me as I hadn't seen him with his working boots on like that before. I expect he will form a stable with the other recent Japanese signings eventually, but I would like to see him do some proper matches on his own first.

Just saw the clip of Mason Rook attacking Tony D'Angelo and whoever he'd just beat. That bit where he turns to the camera at the end and tells everyone who he - for god's sake, you can't send someone out on TV and let them say something within earshot if the only acting they've ever seen is from Byker Grove. The fuck is going on in NXT.
