Not sure why they're asking people to take payouts as a strategy when it would make much more sense to get rid of expensive talent that's been around for decades and been of little interest for years and call up guys who are cheaper and fresher and more than ready. BarryOVega Posted June 14 Posted June 14 Caught up on the last 4 weeks, all enjoyable easy watches, still wish they’d put Troy and Carver together as a tag team seeing as they’re not doing anything in singles Few notes, Tatum Paxley is one of the best baby faces in the company, Izzi Dame continues to be a megastar, Tristan Angels finish is quality, DVD’s retro Bash at the Beach shirt was cool, can’t believe this company have a gay babyface champion in one of the developmental leagues and there weren’t any dated jokes about him, 15 years ago they’d have Regal call him a shirtlifter in a backstage segment, nice to see NXT can be up to date with how real life should be even if the main roster is MAGA central Quote

BarryOVega Posted June 29 Posted June 29 Two decent world title matches at GAB, good brawl for the men’s and a surprising result in the women’s, can’t see Lola getting called up yet so it’ll be interesting what they do with her Women’s NA title match however was absolutely brilliant, good match followed with an excellent ending, Tatum looking like the great babyface she normally does, her selling is superb Dark state are shite so was disappointed they stood tall but suppose it keeps the feud going EWR style Angels and Shiloh wasn’t the best with that hideous bit under the ring but the feud itself has been good Overall just miles more entertaining than Night of Champions, was disappointed that Owens didn’t mention Zayn winning the title when he was in the car park though Quote
BarryOVega Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Wasn’t much going on in this episode, liked the Tony D/Naraku stuff though Kendal Grey nearly tripping up on the ring steps was a bit funny, good promo before she was interrupted, the woman running in after the main event and nearly falling on her face while doing that torture rack thing then obviously getting out of the ring 10 seconds early and having to go back was pretty funny too The backstage bit with Zaria, Megastar Izzi Dame and Lizzy Rain was a bit daft but there’s nothing wrong with that, all 3 got to show a bit of character and that’s more than most people on the main roster get Quote

Oh I read about this, apparently they didn't say her name because they actually hadn't got all the new NXT trademark for whatever they'll be called in order, but went ahead with the debut and just didn't name them yet. Funny, all the buzz for that Grayson Waller promo and Fatu interrupted a match, in which Waller was busy looking like a lowcard act, and Fatu immediately became the shiny new toy. I bloody loved the way Fatu climbed to the top rope to deliver his splash. Just immediately stood out in a crowded field. He only hit the same moves as all the other Umaga tribute acts, the Samoan Slam and big splash mostly, but the looked great. He looks a little bit ordinary, if I'm honest, and as Barry says, there's loads of similar acts in the ever-lasting Bloodline stuff. A shame because if he came in to the promotion at another time, he'd look incredible. Quote
