The crowd is either going to ignore what they know or just not know anything at all. Vince will have got all the headlines. Lesnar has mostly flown under the radar with all this. Obviously the smart move is to still keep away from him but they usually make a stupid move eventually. Lesnar hasn’t officially been named in the lawsuit has he? Last I remember it was still just “a former UFC Heavyweight Champion”. Now as that can only possibly be one of two people (the other being Cain Valesquez who was long gone by the time) people just worked it out. Even if people do know and what have you, he’d still get a better reaction than Seth Rollins Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted November 19, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 19, 2024 I know he was rubbish but Curtis Axel winning the IC title on Father's Day is unironically one of my favourite wrestling moments. And his theme was excellent. Quote

Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted November 20, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 20, 2024 *sigh* I watched it again. I knew this would happen. The crowd were absolutely comatose all night, so WWE had to bust out their always convincing and well-timed canned cheers on several occasions. They only woke up when Rhea Ripley came out and during the Sheamus / Bron Breakker match. Rhea coming out woke up a pointless opening bit of talking although Liv Morgan's reactions are getting funnier, as are Raquel Rodriguez's. They've done wonders with those two. This was a much better use of Rhea though, making her look threatening rather than smiley and getting humiliated. Hopefully she doesn't headbutt a wall or something and get injured again. Mixed tag match of no great interest although it's sickening to see how mobile Rey Mysterio still is when my knees creek sitting down on the bog for a shit. Zelina Vega's pretty good, they could find better for her to do, same with everyone in this match, really. This American Made thing isn't working, though. Some Judgement Day stuff. Noticeable that Carlito hasn't said a thing in weeks. Daft cunt. Then the proper main event. Sheamus' entrance thing says 'Banger After Banger' and he's right. Is there anyone in WWE who has more consistently excellent matches than him? And to think I *hated* him for the first few years of his WWE run. This was absolutely my sort of thing, obviously, but just fucking great. Someone will have to tell me what Bron was doing with that thing to the outside where he somehow didn't break his neck. He even makes botches look good. I didn't mind the interference at the end. They left something on the table and it made Ludvig Kaiser look a genuine threat. I like him, I hope they keep going with him. Handsome devil, he is. Not as much as Damian Priest, obviously, who beat up Gunther backstage after he gave a pep talk to Kaiser earlier on. I'm not sure what they're doing with Gunther but I don't think I like it. Did his character need a change-up? Ahh well, the match will be great anyway. Are War Raiders babyfaces now? They had a match with Dirty Dom and Carlito, who might be seeing the underside of the shovel right now. This happened. Where's Valhalla? I know they're not vikings now but come on. The Dakota Kai video was pretty good. She looked great. And looked great. The Lyra Valkyria one was also good. I like these videos they put out when someone's not on TV for a bit, and they always do a good job with them. I don't understand the point of another Bronson Reed / Seth Rollins match if it's just a normal match when their last one was an anything goes one. It was fine but existed only for obvious reasons. I'm sorry I doubted his involvement in War Games, I truly am, but in my heart I was only trying to make you all feel better about it potentially happening. Let's be positive and hope we get Wrestlemania Rollins, behaving himself and dressing comparatively normally and selling like he's dead or dying. Decent show, not as good as last week, somebody stop me. Quote
The King of Old School Posted November 20, 2024 Author Posted November 20, 2024 This week's show definitely suffered as being taped instead of being live. Crowd are always shite/asleep during the second show. Quote

She announced about 6-7 months ago she was pregnant, not sure if she has had the baby yet but that's why she hasn't been around for with them for this comeback. These Raws taped do always suffer with the crowd being burnt out a bit and I always feel like you know it's not going to be a huge show. It must have been a bit odd for them having Solo and Bronson ending the show like that with no context of what happened on Smackdown between them. Quote

People talk about Gunther, Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson, but I genuinely think Sheamus has grown into one of the best wrestlers in the world. His matches are consistently brilliant, and he’s just a joy to watch. I’d love to see him have a spell in AEW before he hangs up his boots, I don’t think I’ll feel content until I see him wrestle Eddie Kingston or Hangman Page. Quote

I've always thought he would be incredible in a G1. Him in a AEW Continental Classic would probably be even better nowadays though. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted November 20, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 20, 2024 Yeah it's slightly tragic that Shaemus will likely only ever be a WWE guy. I'd love to see him touring the world turning up everywhere and anywhere against all kinds of people. Quote
The Dart Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 Crazy how about ten years ago, just thinking about any combination of Sheamus, Randy Orton, Alberto del Rio and The Big Show being in the main event of Smackdown would bore me to tears. Sheamus really has turned it around since then, as has Orton. Quote
Paid Members Bus Surfer Posted November 20, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 20, 2024 It's pretty crap that Sheamus held the World title when no one really gave a damn about him. He's been a consistent joy for some time now. Done right, there's some money in a busted up Sheamus on the verge of retirement chasing the big belt one more time. Quote
Paid Members Callum1993 Posted November 20, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 20, 2024 Interesting time for Adam Pearce to post this…Could just be playing up to the rumours but it’s not like WWE to do subtle. Quote

Is this not what they're doing with the IC title though, to complete his grand slam? I really can see him winning it at WrestleMania to complete that legacy for him. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted November 21, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 21, 2024 Chad Gable arguing with American Made, with everyone shoving each other in anger. Judgment Day bickering and undermining each other. Gunther bollocking Ludwig for going against his wishes. New Day unable to get on the same page. I refuse to believe Triple H has ever watched a Rom Com all the way to the end. Bet he waits for the couple to have a big falling out in the second act, then switches it off, fully satisfied. He fucking loves it! Quote
Mr_Danger Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 I loved it when tall Creed got slapped and small Creed was laughing like any good brother would when their dad was scolding one and not the other. Quote
