Dr. Alan Grant Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 I’ve seen a fair few suggestions of Lesnar and Punk to be the 5th man due to their Heyman connection. But everyone seems to be forgetting another Heyman guy. Starting this moment from now. From this moment on. This will be the moment. Starting now. Of the genesis of Axel. Quote

Rock's music hits. He stands beside Roman, then beats the shit out of Cody. Bloodline 2000 join in. Sami, Jimmy and Jey try to protect Cody but fail. Roman just watches. Babyfaces quit to save Cody from "permanent injury." It sets up half a dozen things to explore over the next quarter. It means Seth isn't in the match but does have a storyline coming out of it. Gives you a Rock appearance without him actually being in the match or doing much. Allows them to do Rock/Cody first while sowing seeds for Rock/Roman further down the line. Why would Cody be there out of interest? Quote

I suppose a man who is going to go on trial for fraud and misappropriation of federal funds is a better choice than a sex trafficker, but still a worse choice than someone who is just a bad wrestler. Have I missed something here, or have you confused Curtis Axel with Ted DiBiase Jr? Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted November 19, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 19, 2024 Had to check they’d ever existed in the same space at the same time. Like that fight in Superman 3. Battling to become the one, true, ultimate nepo baby disappointment. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted November 19, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 19, 2024 I just hope that ends up being Ted Junior’s alibi. ”Could have been Michael McGuillicuty, who the fuck can tell us apart? Equally as shit.” Quote
Paid Members I Bent My Wookie Posted November 19, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 19, 2024 While Internet searching myself to see if they ever faced off it turns out Axel was a former tag champ in FCW with the other DiBiase brother too in what must have been the most vanilla tag team. Quote
Paid Members Callum1993 Posted November 19, 2024 Paid Members Posted November 19, 2024 There’s been a lot of terrible second generation guys over the years. Manu and Sim Snuka were also awful in Legacy. Quote

Plus you just know if Lesnar's music hit, that audience would lose its shit. He's not getting booed. The crowd is either going to ignore what they know or just not know anything at all. Vince will have got all the headlines. Lesnar has mostly flown under the radar with all this. Obviously the smart move is to still keep away from him but they usually make a stupid move eventually.
