Keith Houchen
Foleshill has had a large South Asian community for decades and was where you played “Spot the white man” in the 80s in Cov so can anyone guess what the local comments about this story might be? RIDDUM_N_STYLE
Thoughts and prayers with you and you girlfriend @neil I had to pop out this morning as I needed to post an item I'd sold on Ebay at the weekend (pulled the rest of my listings until it's deemed safe again), nipped the shop next door and picked up some energy drinks and a 4 pack of Mars bars and was back in 10 minutes. Don't have any plans to leave the house rest of the week apart from going to M&S on Thursday to help my mum get a few bits of food as some items that she needs are out of stock for our weekly delivery from Tesco
Paid Members Carbomb Posted March 25, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted March 25, 2020 @neil my deepest condolences, that's truly awful. Can't even begin to imagine what that's like. I hope your girlfriend, her family, and yourself come through this OK.

Paid Members quote the raven Posted March 25, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted March 25, 2020 (edited) Well looks I’m getting fired. HR sent an email saying unless I’m in severe. at risk group get my ass back to work. Fuck my asthma diagnosis. Fuck that I work with disabled adults that don’t understand distancing. Fuck that my work space is one big house full of upto 20 people. Get back to work.  Well fuck them and their 8.75 per hour. I have made an official complaint. Referred them to government guidelines and said no.  4 years I’ve been there. Edited March 25, 2020 by quote the raven

They must be giving it to stop a further infection from the weakened immune system this shit causes.  That’s more or less my asthma treatment plan of meds. The prednisone is a steroid to reduce the inflammation of the airways

There were the usual spring break parties on beaches in Florida at the weekend. Pictures of people lounging and surfing on closed beaches in Australia. Ridiculous queues for transport and food in India. The world is full of self-entitled dickheads.
Guest
The more I see quotes and articles like this, the more it pisses me off that more pressure isn't being put on employers rather than employees, most of whom I'm sure would rather not go into work - especially if it involves public transport - but do so out of fear of losing their jobs. New semantics are needed. Instead of saying "only go to work if..." try saying "only bring your staff into work if..." That's where the decision is made, and where the pressure needs to be applied before anything's realistically going to change.

Paid Members Jazzy G Posted March 25, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted March 25, 2020 That's me for 12 weeks. Had the text from my doctor. My diabetes is more severe than the safely allowed measurement, or at least was 3 weeks ago. Stay safe, guys.
